Brand new earth sheltered cottage with high ceilings, abundant glazing, radiant floor heat, the best industrial bathroom fixtures.. The massive concrete walls and slab, and that 40% of the residence is underground, really makes for a grounded feeling. No forced air heat comes in to dry you out, and the radiant floor keeps you toasty from your socks up. Instant hot water tap. North facing bedroom with blackout curtains or look out at gardens and the rock walll. There is space to spread out. This place is truly relaxing, and the temps stay level. I am a designer and I obsessed over all of it. Views out are into nature and country life. I live in the adjacent quonset hut where I offer on site massage, fitness equipment, a wood stove, overflow bunk beds, and a place to stare at the trees in planters inside. By design the two residences are very separate and private, and the main word here is quiet, with a side of nature and the sounds of the countryside.
