The Space:
Highland Red House is nestled on the side of a forested mountain on a private, 3-acre lot an easy 15 minute drive from Downtown Blue Ridge. The property boasts year round, gorgeous, layered views of the Mountains visible from both levels and bedrooms in the house. The home has been professionally designed by local interior design firm, State and Season. The (NEW!) fiber optic WiFi is very fast with speeds consistently above 100 Mbps! The home is equipped with a Tesla charger for your EV charging needs.
The house is conveniently located within minutes of food, fun, and adventure:
- City of Blue Ridge with dining/shopping *15 minutes
- Serenberry Vineyards (the best winery in Blue Ridge) *20 minutes
- 10 other wineries within 45 minutes
- Aska Trail System hiking and mountain biking trailhead *20 minutes
- Lake Blue Ridge *14 minutes
- Apple orchards within *9 minutes
- Toccoa River rafting *25minutes
- Adventure Park aerial park *19 minutes
- Tank Town (shoot a machine gun and crush a car with a tank!) *8 minutes

The Home
This luxurious, professionally decorated, Keith Sumner mountain home, built in 2021, is tastefully designed with contract grade furniture to provide a 5-star, upscale experience for your friends and family. Every detail has been considered to guarantee you have a great stay! A huge deck and patio, games galore and both indoor/outdoor fireplaces!
Each bedroom has its own well-equipped bathroom (with plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap). Three bedrooms have king sized beds and the fourth a queen size bed. A set of twin-sized bunk beds is available in the lower level living space enabling the cabin to accommodate up to 10. A variety of pillow types (soft, medium, firm), soft sheets, room darkening drapery, and high-quality organic NEST mattresses, with Standard Textile Linens, combined with white noise machines guarantee you'll sleep well during your stay. 3 Bedrooms have a panoramic view of the mountains and access to one of the large decks/patio. Fall asleep watching the stars and wake up to a gently brightening morning sky!
Ample throw pillows, cozy blankets, and massive windows make the house a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the natural serenity of the quiet location. The two massive decks are populated with plenty of seating, (COMING SOON - October 2024) a hot tub, a gas fire pit, and a pair swing beds so you can cozy up and enjoy the amazing mountain views. The house has two inside gas fireplaces and the lower-level game room includes family board games and puzzles.
The Kitchen
Enjoy the gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, gorgeous mountain views. Any chef in the family will love the well-equipped gourmet kitchen. A large refrigerator, six burner gas stove, and ample surface space make preparing large meals convenient. Want to cook some amazing burgers? Fire up the outdoor grill. The gourmet kitchen and outdoor cooking spot provide everything you need to keep your group well-fed. A large table adjacent to an island bar provides a wonderful space to visit and share a laugh.
Parking
A Tesla charger is installed in the parking structure for your EV (please bring your own adapters if you don’t have a Tesla.) The house can easily accommodate five cars, two of which can park under the large car portico outside the main level of the house.
Other Things to Note:
Guests are required to sign Cherokee Rose Homes Rental Contract prior to their reservation.
Please note that our property is nestled in the mountains amidst a wooded area, which means that the open spaces and outdoor sitting areas may be exposed to leaves, dust, pollen, and other natural elements. After a few days from the last cleaning, these outside areas may accumulate leaves, pollen, and some dust due to their exposure. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.
This space has been prepared for guests traveling from out of town!
We love to host guests from out of town who have previously stayed in short-term rentals and earned favorable reviews.
While we appreciate the interest in staying with our property, please note that we do not cater to guests who live in the area and are looking for an alternate venue for their affairs or events and reserve the right to turn these guests away.
Firewood is not provided. There will be a $500 fine for fires left unattended or fires that were not put out prior to leaving or retiring for the night. We don't want any embers be blown over to the nearby trees/woods, or anything that can potentially set it on fire.
Guests give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen their identity and check criminal databases to confirm their reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Please check your spam inbox for this email and contact the property manager if you have any questions. Guests are required to complete the guest screening booking requirement, to avoid cancellation of the reservation.
