The Grey Goose presents excellent accommodations while offering plenty of entertaining activities while on site. Additionally, it is located at the base of North GA mountains, so you have a ton of options to exploit at your leisure in the surrounding area. Only 45 minutes from Atlanta, 5 minutes from North Georgia’s premium outlet mall, and lots of dining. You are centrally located at the base of the North Georgia mountains that offers an endless number of activities throughout your stay.

Grey Goose is well-equipped for remote working/schooling. The fast internet service enables you to accomplish necessary or obligatory task with options to enjoy lake activities during your breaks.

Whether you love to shop, kayak, tube, paddleboard, fish, explore the North GA mountains/state parks, wineries, hiking & biking trails, or just need to unwind, this unique mountain lake house is designed for a perfect vacation, work-spot or just a get-together on Lake Lanier in the North Georgia Mountains.

Our 3-story home sits on a level hill that offers scenic views of the surrounding woodside that emborders the lake. The house offers photogenic options as well as ample space for parking and outdoor game activities. Additionally, the extended driveway allows you to drive up another tier, which makes the 2nd level accessible for loading/unloading belongings and assisting those who have disabilities.

The dock is positioned on the Chestatee River which offers deep water access of 20+ feet of water. The dock is 200 yards from the house and for your protection, the trail should be descended with fitted shoes. The trail to the dock offers a unique wooded trail along the border of an inlet cove from the lake. For your safety and security, there are concrete steps, steep concrete path, wooden steps, and a wooden bridge to navigate along the path to the dock.

Our lake house cabin is well-appointed with three floors providing privacy for everyone. Be aware that the stairs are steep and must be approached with caution. However, the first and second levels are conveniently accessible with a vehicle. Each level provides accommodations so you can arrange your group to fit in as needed. The first floor offers a large movie room with a 65in smart tv. Additionally, there is a pull-out queen sofa bed that will comfortably sleep 2 people. There are double doors that lead out to a covered patio with accommodating seating arrangements. There is a beautiful brick firepit with Adirondack chairs overlooking the trail leading to the lake. Adjacent to the movie room, there is a large game room with air hockey, ping pong, darts, board games and outdoor games to give you multiple options to have fun and spend time together. The second floor consist of a full equipped kitchen with laundry room, dining area, living room with a smart tv mounted above a beautiful shale stone fireplace. Be advised that NO FIRES allowed in the fireplace in the living room. The living room has double doors that opens to a deck that overlooks the surrounding woods with inconspicuous views of the lake. The deck wraps around the back and side of the house and offers various intimate sitting arrangements with a large gas grill. There is a newly renovated full bath/shower combo adjacent to a bedroom that offers single bunk beds. The third floor offers a master bedroom with a queen size bed and large windows for limited views of the lake. There is a second bedroom that has a single bed with a pull-out trundle underneath, which combined will comfortably sleep 2 people. Between the two rooms, there is full bath with shower.

Our private 2-story dock, only for personal use, is situated next to the channel of the Chestatee River with a depth of 20+ feet of water. Please note the dock is the second one as you walk down the trail with the inlet cove to your right. Be advised our dock does not have running water or electricity. Our dock is highly valued by many as it can roll out and remain in water if the levels drop during dry spells. So, there is no need to worry if you have a boat to tie to the dock, the dock will always have plenty of water to remain afloat for your use. If you enjoy fishing, please feel free to fish right off the dock. If you like water sports, please feel free to use one of the two kayaks or paddleboard at your leisure. You are required to have a life vest with you while on a kayak or paddleboard. When not using the kayaks or paddleboard, please place back on the racks and tie them down to prevent them from floating away.

Be advised, we, as the owners, reserve the right to use and maintain our personal boat on the boat lift of the dock. This boat and boat lift are not to be used by the renters. If you have the availability of a boat, you will have the convenience of tying up along the sides of the dock. If needed, there are several locations with boat rentals. Gainesville Marina is the closest which is 20 minutes away by car. Other options are Port Royale, Aqualand, Holiday and Bald Ridge Marinas. If you plan to use a boat, the closest marina to get gas is Athens Boat Club which is 7 minutes away by boat.

Grey Goose is perfect for families, friends, corporate retreats, business trips, girls’ and/or guys’ weekends, wedding events, or individual/couple’s getaways. It is located 1 mile from Nix Bridge public boat ramp and park, 3 miles to Toto Creek public boat ramp and park, 5 miles to North Georgia Premium Outlets, dining, and Chestatee Golf Course. Grey Goose is a unique private escape surrounded by numerous fun activities for an extraordinary memorable vacation.

This place the quintessential Lake Experience
This is the place you wanna book if you are hosting family or want to have a nice weekend on the lake. It’s super close to the main strip on 400 in Dawsonville so anything you need is very convenient and a lot of really good local restaurants around the outlet malls. But the real appeal is the beauty of the North Georgia foothills along a pretty secluded part of Lake Lanier. Lake Lanier is always a fun time but closer to Buford and Gainesville it’s far more crowded. This Dawsonville listing gives you more room to breathe. Teens will love it as they have a game room and theater that’s pretty impressive and it’s super well maintained. The walk to the lake is short but it’s on an incline so bring good shoes to the dock. The water around the dock is deep so you and your kids can dive and jump with no concerns. I’ve stayed at many lake properties in North Georgia and this one is the most practical. The owners live nearby so if you need anything they respond very quickly to messages. I forgot to pack ketchup when we were grilling and I texted at night and the brought some right over. Location is great. Water is prestige. And the owners seem like really good people. 10/10

A hidden gem on Lake Lanier
Not enough can be said about this house, our stay or the hosts. The house appears to have been completely redone and well furnished. It is truly a great get away on the lake. Not only has the house been meticulously furnished but the available dock has also been upgraded. We were able fish and swim from the dock which is just a short shaded walk from the house. There is plenty of parking and the wrap around driveway made it seamless and easy for us to unload our groceries and luggage. The kitchen accommodated us with everything we needed during our stay. The available Keurig and drip coffee pot provided us with great options for coffee. Having a blender was also a nice touch and was used. The game and movie rooms provided us a relaxing space for us to relax and unwind after our adventures out in town and on the lake. There are great views from the 3 levels of the house, the fire pit and seating area provided us an outdoor space for our family and friends to gather and reconnect. The neighborhood is quiet and serene and just a short drive to the outlets. The bunk room off the kitchen provided a separate space for our teenager and friend to escape for themselves. The owners made themselves available and were very responsive to our questions prior to booking and during our stay. We will definitely stay again. Thank you the great experience.
