Mirror Woods, On A Quiet Mtn. Pond Surrounded By Nature Includes A/C

Very Spacious house with great frontage on small mountain lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Great elevation at 3000' and only 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Less than an hours drive from Asheville, and 2.5 hours out of Charlotte. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with central A/C and Heat.

Walk to Golf course or south toe river for terrific trout fishing. Short walk to hiking trails that lead to nearby Black mountain campground, and Setrock Falls, or continue all the way to mount Mitchell on the "Mountain to the sea" trail, highest peak in the Eastern US. Cold water to dip in as the creek forms one border of property and several acres of woods are adjacent to both sides for kids to play.

If you are here to fish just walk 200 yards to South toe River at the Red bridge you crossed coming in, from there upstream you may fish for trout till your heart content. The pond is for looking at ,to enjoy the views but not for fishing or swimming.

The Clubhouse at Golf course has two restaurants and pub, open every evening during season, reservations sometimes needed

Another wonderful stay at Mirror Woods
We love the fishing, hiking, relaxing, and shopping in Burnsville. It's a great place to spend time making memories with your family. Plenty of room, a wonderful sunroom, good places to eat in Burnsville, or a fully stocked kitchen if you want to stay in. We had s'mores at the firepit one night--great stay and we'll be back!

Was so much more than we anticipated. Lots of privacy outdoors on the property, we enjoyed the firepit every night laughing and reminiscing about life past, life to come. Homey feel with lots of room inside the VRBO, everything provided to have a relaxing time, meals, cookouts, games, watching tv, Beautiful neighborhood. Nature spilling out around your every turn and the walk to the river where you can sit and enjoy the sounds of the water. Drive a short distance to hike and another to a mom and pops gas station. Our Family Loved the VRBO and highly recommend. We will be back .

A very relaxing place in the woods
We have been stayed in many houses in this neighborhood for the past 20+ years. The location is great for enjoying hiking in the area. We loved the location on the pond, the firepit and fireplace and the enclosed porch, where we had coffee every morning and happy hour many in evenings. This is an older house that has not been updated and is in need some work, especially with humidity/musty smell and operation of some of the windows. We bought two lavender deodorizers and did not use master bedroom. The rental price was good for the condition of the property. After two weeks here, felt complete relaxation.

Perfect for me!!
I am a frequent tent camper at the black mountain campground which is just a few blocks away from this house. I didn't feel like dragging all my camping gear for this vacation so I decided to book a place on VRBO. This place feels like you're staying at a friend or family members place because it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. So much cookware and dishes, cleaning supplies, and towels. There is a small pond with small mouth bass swimming around literally feet from the backdoor. A beautiful sunroom to enjoy your breakfast and coffee in. There is a makeshift fire pit in the backyard along with dry firewood stocked under a small canopy. Make sure you bring all the groceries you need for your stay because it is a good drive from any grocery stores, but the is a small country store right around the corner in Busik that usually has locally growth vegetables and basic necessities. This is my favorite area to vacation at in the mountains so finding this listing was a huge score!! I will most definitely be booking this place again!!

We enjoyed this beautiful property, very spacious for our big family, kids loved spiral stairs and small room with the window overlooking the living room. Morning coffee in the sunroom with the lake view was our favorite. Very excited that we found this hidden gem. We will be coming again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I would give this property a 5 star rating.
I would give this property a top rating. Our issues revolved around the lack of grocery stores and restaurants. You have to shop before you get to the property and you will have to cook your own meals unless you want to travel at least 30 minutes on mountain roads to restaurants which have long wait times. The house itself had everything you could want. I especially appreciated the identification books about flowers and birds. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, pans, knives etc. Previous guests have left behind condiments, shampoo, dish and clothes washing soap. If you forgot anything, it is probably there.

Nostalgic Getaway
My friends and I had a great stay at this home. It has a nostalgic charm that reminded us all of visiting family when we were kids. We really enjoyed the sunroom that overlooks the water and the layout of the house made it easy for us all to find our own space as well as gather for meals and board games.

Relaxing Weekend
Had a great time. Although there were other houses around it felt like you were secluded. Short walk or ride to trails and waterfalls. Very nice and peaceful. The house had plenty of room and everything that was needed. Would definitely recommend.

Nice deep wood get away
We had a fantastic time as a family. Location was excellent for local hikes, Roaring Fork Falls, Mt. Mitchell, Crabtree Falls, Little Switzerland village, Emerald Village and many more. House is comfortable, spacious and has a lovely sunroom over a pond. We hoped for a water access for the kids to splash as the family relaxed on the deck, but property is on a still pond with swimming not recommended. We enjoy the full stocked kitchen and utilities. House air was very damp maybe because it's in the woods and has little sunrays. It looks just like the pictures and reasonably priced. Overall we would come back. Thank you@

Great Location on Quiet Cul-de-sac
We loved the location and the layout of the house worked well for our group. The interior of the house is very dated, but was generally clean. There was significant hair in the master bathroom tub that clogged the drain. One of the drawers in the chest-of drawers in the master bedroom was full of dirt and one drawer had some clothes left in it. In the other downstairs bed room, the sheets were full of tiny black hairs. There was also a musty smell in the house that we could not seem to get rid of. The whole house fan helped with this some and allowed us to open the windows and not use the AC. None of the TVs in the bed rooms worked, only the main TV in the living room. Multiple controllers had corroded batteries in them and the alarm clock in the master bedroom was non-functional because the batteries had corroded in the clock. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances, except for a blender. It would have been nice if the freezer in the mud-room was functional. However, the Florida room overlooking the pond was wonderful for games, relaxing and movie nights for the family. We really liked the dead end location with no traffic going by. Over all, we enjoyed our stay and it is well located for making numerous day trips.
