About this property
Newly Built Log Cabin - Enjoy Nature’s Playground, Dining, Adventure - Calabogie
Escape the busy bustle of city life and come spend some time at our newly built log cabin where you’ll be surrounded by nature and enjoy simplicity. Each window in the home overlooks beautiful tree canopy and it’s not hard to see Ravens , Blue Jays, Hummingbirds and Woodpeckers from the comfort of home.
Inside, the cottage is equipped with brand new appliances, including dishwasher, air-fryer, microwave, nespresso coffee maker, espresso maker, laundry, soaps, basic condiments and spices. Logs for a fire in our ravine-facing fire pit (when no burning bans are in place), skewers and coal for the nifty spiedini grill.
But why stay inside when you can explore Eagle’s Nest hiking spot in Calabogie? Or trek the terrain for Manitou Mountain, and stop by a gorgeous waterfront park with beach, fairy garden and outdoor fitness equipment at Barnet Park. You can voyage by vehicle alongside the Madawaska River to Burnstown, where you’ll be inspired by charming shops, art galleries and restaurants.
Beyond the trees, the cottage overlooks a privately owned lake front (no guest access). The property is street-facing on a quiet, dead end road with a few cottages and dog walkers. Bedroom windows face ravine and back of lot: there are no curtains in bedrooms so you can be connected to nature and the sun’s rhythms from night to day.
The water is potable (safe to cook with and brush teeth), yet bottled water is on site for your comfort. If you intend to bake, please bring your equipment as we have not provided baking sheets, casserole dishes or mixers.
