I'm a native New Yorker fairly new to the Catskills, although I've been coming up here for years. I'm a writer, literary agent, and freelance editor and I just love the artsy vibe here in Woodstock and the surrounding area.

Why they chose this property

The best thing about my place is that it's right at the edge of town, so not IN town but kind of in town! If you go out in the yard you'd never know it though. It's green and lush and there's a babbling brook. And deer! And bunnies!

Being able to walk into town––whether it's to grab a coffee, brunch, go to dinner, or out for a beer or cocktail––is the best. I love all the quirky shops and musicians busking in the Green on the weekend.

My favorite thing is the bookstore of course but, believe it or not, the hardware stores are kind of neat, too! There are two and you can get all kinds of cool things for the house. You'd have to go to understand. Candlestock is also a favorite place.

What makes this property unique

Most of the places that are in town, or walking distance to town, don't have the private yard and green space my cottage has. My place is unique in all the right ways, not the "well, that's weird," way.
