Quiet condo. The space is ideal for 4 adults, can fit up to 6 comfortably in two queen beds and one sofa queen. Kid-friendly. Pets are allowed with a $50 fee. Please note: only one bathroom. No events or parties. And please no children under the age of 6.

The space
→ The living room and kitchen and one bedroom have flat-screen TVs
→ Two bedrooms, both have queen beds
→ The living area has a queen-size pullout sofa bed. We use an 8-inch memory foam mattress topper in order to ensure a good night’s rest!
→ 14-foot ceilings, wood burning fireplace, hardwood floors, flat-screen TVs, large dining table, deep soaking tub and stainless steel appliances

The rental is an upstairs portion of a duplex. Please note there is only one bathroom. For those doing a longer stay, there is a laundry room in the basement and the owner can give you access to the washer and dryer.

The unit is located near Chicago Avenue and Western Avenue in one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago, Ukrainian Village. Ukrainian Village has many great restaurants, bars and shops! Places like Kasama, Black Dog Gelato, Sportsman's, The Beetle, Hi-Lo, Segnatore, Spinning J, Dark Matter, and Smith Park are all close and walkable. The bus system runs often and can get you into downtown, West Loop and River North in about 10-15 minutes. Trains are nearby as well, but the bus is faster from here.

You will have access to the main floor of our duplex down. The stairwell in-unit contains a framed door that will be locked during your stay to ensure privacy. The owner lives in the basement. You will have a large living space, a large dining room, an open concept kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom in your portion of the unit.

You will have a lockbox to unpack in order to gain access through the front gate and front door to the building. The unit is accessible on the first floor of our walk up building, which requires a short flight of stairs going up. The front door has an automated lock that you can access with a key code. We will give you the code and clear instructions the day before you arrive.

Parking is easy over here. You can park in the neighborhood for free or on Chicago Avenue, some of which is free and some is paid depending on where you find a spot. You will have to park one block away from the unit now that our street requires a permit, but parking is very easy in this area.

Ukrainian Village - voted #1 in the US according to Redfin’s 2016 hottest neighborhoods list. Great restaurants, shops, and attractions. Close proximity to downtown’s Loop, West Loop and River North. Stay in the city with a great neighborhood feel! Walk to everything and to public transit.

Getting around is very easy. Street parking is free and open to the public in the neighborhood and along Chicago Ave. Walk to the CTA bus system to get you to the red and blue lines very easily. Or take a quick Uber to and from downtown. The condo is a 5 minute drive from the following: United Center, medical district, Wicker Park and Bucktown!

We always have coffee, tea, and snacks for you in the kitchen during your stay.

Very helpful host!!

We were put in a bad situation with our original Vrbo booking and didn’t have a place to stay, so Kathleen went above and beyond with working to accommodate us on short notice. The apartment was very comfortable even though the bedrooms weren’t very spacious. The permit parking was difficult with a family with small kids because we had to work pretty hard to find a decent place to park. Overall, it was a great place to stay with a fantastic host! Would recommend!
