Stuart Cottage II Pet Friendly, Remodeled, close to beach and quaint downtown
Current available winter dates are Dec. 8 - Feb. 1, 2025. Changeover day is Saturday unless pre-approved. Message me for discounts on stays of 28 days and 12+ weeks during summer and fall. Pet approval required. The quiet neighborhood is a nice mix of families, seniors and working professionals with sidewalks perfect for strolls, pet walks or bike rides. Fresh Market grocery store and a mix of shops and restaurants are only a few blocks away. Travel a few more blocks to the local sports bar/restaurant and popular hangout, Carson's Tavern.
Don't miss the Sunday Green Market in downtown Stuart for fresh produce, local crafts as well as free outdoor concerts along the Indian River Lagoon's outdoor amphitheater. Walk down the boardwalk to the Marina and chat with the boaters at popular Sailor's Return Restaurant which also provides great evening entertainment where you can 'dance the night away'.
Stuart Public Beach is 3 miles east over the 2 causeway bridges with fantastic views of the waterway and offers free parking, plenty of beach access paths and clean public facilities. If you enjoy swimming or lounging by the pool the YMCA of the Treasure Coast is 1.5 miles from the house by car or 1 mile by walking or biking through the neighborhood. The pool is heated to 84 degrees in the winter months and offers leisure swim, lap swim and water fitness classes for a daily or weekly fee. This locally popular facility also includes a state of the art fitness facility.
All of these ideas and more are listed in the Guest Notebook in the house.

Our stay here was overall very good. Everything you could want was there. The only reason for four stars was the AC unit was not sufficiently cooling with temperatures in the upper 80s.
This was a perfect location for everything my family wanted to do. Easy to walk, bike or drive to downtown or beaches. Even our pups enjoyed their stay! We will be back! Thanks
Loved everything about the house and location. Immaculate, decorated and supplied with much careful thought and charm.
Would love to return for a longer stay in the future.
Owners went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Very thoughtful touches. Great location. Comfortable for long term stay with a dog.
Property was in a perfect location in Stuart, just a couple blocks away from family. We spent two weeks in Stuart to meet the newest member of our family - our Grandson. The house was perfect and very comfortable for everyone, even our Dog Guinness! It was our home away from home. gave us a great idea as to what it would be like to live there. Thank you so much Allison!
We enjoyed our stay in Stuart. The house was very nice, we loved the porch! Great and very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and nice living room. A relaxing stay in a nice neighbourhood.
We will certainly book it again when we go to Stuart.
My husband and I stayed at this house for a month and a half while house hunting. It is so comfortable and so clean. the kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook. The bed was very comfortable. The fenced in yard was perfect for our golden retriever. Our cat was comfortable there also. We were there during Hurricaine Dorien and the owners came over to put the storm shutters up and to give us advice. The owners were always just a phone call away if we needed anything. They are such nice people, we felt like we knew them a long time. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, comfortable and safe place to stay

This is a spotless, bright and colorful cottage
We loved this house and its location: 5-10 minutes to downtown Stuart; 5-10 minutes to a dozen beaches; 2-3 minutes from stores and restaurants. Kitchen is well stocked; laundry facilities look brand new; there are about 5 choices for bed pillows which is great... from foam to feather to tempurpedic. If you have a dog, the fenced in yard and patio are perfect. Flowers surround the property line, lots of shade. we felt totally safe walking our dog at night around the block. It is a very quiet location.
We will come back for sure, and for a longer period; the beaches are the best part. Whether you go to the ocean or the bay, they are pristine and dog friendly.
Allison is immediately responsive to any questions and a great host.

Darling
This is a very cozy, clean and nicely decorated property . Close to beach ,town, shopping and a terrific choice of restaurants. Stuart has its own beach access with a huge parking lot ,outside showers and bath rooms ! All the folks we met were happy & helpful ;a very congenial atmosphere everywhere. Our hosts were delightful and helpful too. They had bikes for us and beach chairs and towels : all the appliances were working . A big bonus was the Sterling Elliott Museum ( an inventor ) there were gorgeous antique cars, race cars bikes and motorcycles to see , plus much much more . The county fair was totally fun and the weather warm with a breeze. Downtown was a daily event with a great river walk and a Green Market with live music every Sunday afternoon. Lots of eats and treats . We had a good time.

Charming
I enjoyed my stay in Stuart and it felt like home. My only suggestion is to have high speed internet for use with computers. The internet dropped often when I was working. I loved the patio and the back deck as well. Luna my pup loved sunning herself in the patio. The kitchen was perfectly stocked.

Clean, comfortable house in a convenient location
The house is furnished well with comfortable furniture and bedding. The king bed is indeed great. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed. Allison and her husband are serious about providing clean and well maintained accommodations and responded quickly to our questions and suggestions. The neighborhood is surprisingly quiet. We were able to quickly get to the beach and downtown Stuart, as well as to the restaurants along US1.
The house has the most technology that we have experienced in a vacation rental, with a Nest thermostat, mesh wifi and streaming television. We didn't have a problem working with it, but it might be intimidating to the technophobe.

Great little house
This is a great little house in the heart of Stuart. The neighborhood is great to walk your dogs or just hang out. It's quiet and enjoyable. The house is quaint and beds are comfy. I loved the back yard for my dogs. It was a decent size for my dogs. There was a great little deck on the back with lights. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the living room furniture was just ok. It wasn't super comfy and was really low to the ground which was hard for my dad to get in and out of.

Loved it!
My husband and I, plus our 13 year old dog stayed here for three months. The house is inviting and adorable. The rental has everything you could possible need or want to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds are comfortable, the towels, both for bath and beach, are of great quality. The house is minutes from beaches and downtown Stuart. There are tons of great dining and shopping selections nearby. Our dog loved the fenced in yard! She would also sit under the porch with us in the mornings while we had our coffee. Allison was awesome to work with and quick to resolve an issue we had with one of the appliances. We would stay again in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed!

About the host
Hosted by Allison Warren
We moved to south Florida in 1987, love living here and have many family and friend visitors. My husband is in the real estate business and once our children were independent, we decided to start a short term rental business of homes that we can use for our own guests and renters.
Why they chose this property
We built our first vacation rental property for our own family to use in the summer beach season and enjoyed our family time together for many years. We met some of our winter renters who thanked us for providing them a nice vacation home. My husband, HB, has been in real estate for many years. We decided to purchase other vacation rental properties, update the homes and create a fun part- time family business.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy traveling and use the same websites to find our own vacation rental properties wherever we visit. We update, equip and maintain our properties with the idea that we are the vacation renters and thus pay attention to the details....especially cleanliness!
