We had a nice time at this property. The kids and dog loved the large yard and our family was able to stay in the same place.
The property is about 15 minutes away from Brookville for gas, groceries, and other essentials. There are nice gift shops on the way to Cook Forest State park.
The upstairs bathroom and bedrooms are a bit difficult for elderly or disabled persons because of the steps. There is a bedroom off the kitchen on the main floor and a powder room that will work for those having difficulty with stairs.
Nice private camp to get away to. Very well stocked with necessities.

Mildew and mold smell
When we arrived we liked the property overall. But as we started to unpack, we noticed that nothing seemed to be cleaned recently. The refrigerator was filthy so we spent an hour wiping everything down before we were comfortable putting any food into it. The ice bin was full of an ice block. We assumed the power was out, cubes melted and power was restored causing the block. This will give you an idea of the state of the fridge. The mildew and mold smell was overwhelming throughout the house. We immediately sprayed Lysol and lit a candle and spent as much time outside as possible. Then when it came to sleeping, the smell gave us headaches and stuffy noses. Most of us took Benedryl to sleep. The next day we discovered the shower had spiders and spider webs (took a web to the face getting in) and "personal" hairs around the shower and sink. That evening we discovered .22 shell casings scattered around on the back patio (not a big hazard for us but had we had children, perhaps). Then we were surprised that on day 2 we received a message that we owed an additional $50 pet fee even though we registered with 4 adults and one pet. The pet fee should have been included in the initial registration not a day after we checked in. Needless to say we left the property cleaner than when we arrived. Will not return to this property. PS. The outlet in the powder room that was next to the sink is not a GFI outlet, not to code!
