1940's cottage located in Newport’s, historic point district. Pets stay free! All breeds and weights welcome!! And no additional pet fees, Woof !!!

Living room has decorative non-working fireplace for added charm and above it a 42 inch flat screen.TV. The bedrooms have their own TVs with DVD players built in. All TVs have Roku live TV channels; High-Speed Internet, WiFi, ready for all your favorite streaming services. Also included is a Bose I pod docking station for high-quality music listening-.the back yard is large and fenced in, convenient for family and pets. Enjoy going out on the town and leaving your pet(s) in their own home experience. Located just two blocks from the water and a waterfront dog park. Boat ramp accessible and a short walk to Newport's fabulous restaurants and shops, this house is in a quiet neighborhood but minutes from all the fun and excitement Newport has to offer. Easy Breezy Newport

Walk to waterfront park - walk to downtown for sightseeing. If you like to walk this is a tremendous choice. As others have said - most excellent for pups and the people that care for them.

Fun little cottage & dog friendly!

This little cottage was lovely. Great location , lovely yard for our pup & a great neighborhood! It had everything we needed (minus washer/dryer)! Overall, a great place to stay on your trip to Newport!

Authentic Newport Digs in a great neighborhood

Clean and tidy easy to care for home- Furnishings are comfortable and simple chic. We thoroughly felt at home here and the house had everything needed. Coming and going to take in all Newport has to offer was so easy. Walk to water for sunset in this friendly neighborhood.This house is set up perfect for staying in Newport with dogs with a large fenced in yard and a breezeway!

Weekend in Newport

Was a lovely weekend with our 70 pound pup, and 2 year old son. The location is amazing, 10 minute walk to downtown meant the street was nice and quiet for sleeping kiddos, and easy to walk into the bustle of town. Kathy was helpful and gave some good pointers on things to do! Would recommend!

First time in Newport

The location was perfect for strolls into town for shopping and dining. Our French bulldogs enjoyed running in the fenced yard as we sipped coffee on the patio.

Very nice

Old house, but everything was very clean. I chose this property because it had a fenced in yard for my dog. My one complaint is not being able to use the breezeway door. That would be much more convenient than having to go around to the front.

Cute and convenient

Perfect spot for 3 people and dogs. The little house is exactly as portrayed in the listing. So amazing to have a fully fenced back yard for the pups plus the extra protection out the front door with a fence in front too. The side door into the breezeway sticks in the winter so couldn't be used. That would have been handy. Kitchen was well equipped but note that there is not a full freezer when planning your shopping. Beds were soft for my taste but not terrible. Couldn't really imagine a better spot if you have dogs and want to visit Newport.

Perfect for our stay!

This property was perfect for us! We travel with a dog and this house is very pet friendly. There is a fenced in front yard, fenced in back yard, and a park about 1/2 block away. The waterfront is only 2 short blocks away. The house is as quaint as the photos! The owners are extremely responsive. We drove into town because off-season parking was not a problem, but in the high season, one could easily keep their car parked in the driveway and walk, or uber, into town.

Newport Gem

Such a wonderful stay! Our 2 doggos loved the backyard! The house was clean and such a wonderful location. Kathy was very responsive and helpful on places to eat. When our ferry to Block Island was postponed, we were able to book another night. Great neighborhood and awesome water views right down the street. Will book again!

MJB + MJB wedding

Very nice & cozy old cottage... location was near the water, great for walking & close to the wedding venue, Regetta Place, 5 min with Uber. Bathroom was tight especially toilet/sink but for a 3 day stay we made it work. Mainly 2 of us for the 3 days, one night we had 4 adults which was fine, living room & kitchen are spacious. Bedrooms are comfortable & we all slept well. Cute backyard..., would stay here again! Thanks Kathy

Disappointed

This property is in a great location. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. The owner was very responsive. Unfortunately we had to check out after one night. The property is filthy. The house smells musty and full of pet urine odor. There many ants in the kitchen despite ant traps. We reached out to the owner who was very responsive and we did get some of our money back except one nights stay and the cleaning fee.? We were able to check in to a bed and breakfast that was immaculate for less money. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but feel compelled to warn others to look elsewhere.

TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

The location here at the Point neighborhood is the best in Newport! It is a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to shops/restaurants. It does have a trolley that comes around that can take you to mansions and other destinations so you really don't have to drive. Thanks Kathy!!!

Great location and perfect for traveling with a pooch!

The cottage made for an awesome long weekend getaway. It is the perfect size for a few friends and a dog. Location, superb! We walked nearly everywhere. And the layout was great, made even more wonderful with the nice yard for the doggy. Kathy was responsive from initial inquiry to the time we left. Will return!

Great Location!!!

Quaint cottage just a short walk to downtown Newport, but far enough away to be able to enjoy some peace and quiet. Fenced yard is a huge plus for those traveling with dogs.

Great stay in Newport

I loved the house and location. Just a short walk to battery park to watch the beautiful sunsets. Quick drives to the beach and restaurants. Kathy was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again when in Newport.

Great spot in The Point

Charming cottage in The Point with a very nice privacy fence in backyard. Great parks to watch sunsets are just a couple of blocks away and Kathy is always open (and helpful) to giving suggestions of things to do in the area. Most places are walkable and shops and grocery stores are a short drive away. This is our second time here at Kathy’s cottage and we can’t wait to be back.

Charming neighborhood, great communication with owner

This cottage is an ideal location for exploring Newport. We enjoyed allowing our dogs to roam the fenced-in backyard and taking them for walks in the charming neighborhood including down to Battery Park - a beautiful spot to catch a sunset! Owner's communication was top-notch.

Pooch Paradise

We had a lovely time at Kathy’s property! Location was perfect: close to shops, the wharf, restaurants and a short drive to any number of beaches. The fenced in backyard was PERFECT for our two dogs, Betty and Tuna. The house itself was clean, laid back and relaxing. If you’re traveling with dogs to Newport, this is the place!! We are already looking forward to our next trip.

Perfect vacation spot!

This is an awesome cottage in the charming historic district! The location was great! Walking distance to downtown and all the beautiful spots along the way! Our host was very attentive & responsive. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The fenced in yard was a huge bonus for our fur babies! We will definitely go back!!
