Charming Cottage

The location made it easy to get around town quickly and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. This place is a great alternative to the cabins and resorts in the area. Surprised by the amount of traffic during the day, but definitely less in the evenings. Will definitely consider this place again when we visit to hike and fish.Owners were also easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Great communication!

This quaint cottage is located in the heart of Petersburg. Walking distance to a lot of things and quick and easy access in and out. The best part, though, is that the owners are great to work with and communicate very well! We greatly appreciate their ability to be flexible and facilitate our stay!

Nice Place

We enjoyed our stay in Petersburg for a softball tournament. The house was great for our family of 5. The parking was a little confusing, but fine once we figured out we needed to park in the grass.

About the host

We love farm life, being outdoors, country roads and hiking in our beautiful mountains.

So many places to go and things to see all around our area. We have lived here 50 years and still have not seen it all.

We love hosting the Cottage House, by offering a great place for people to relax, work, or enjoy the sites.

Why they chose this property

Being in the middle of town is a plus, close to the grocery stores, restaurants and shops around town. I grew up in the city but we moved here right after we married, the small town atmosphere is cozy.

What makes this property unique

Our home is just like a Sears Home that people used to order from Sears and make it themselves. That's what attracted us to this home.

It was built in 1924. We totally remodeled this home taking everything out and down to the studs.

When we did this we realized they built homes so different back in the day. No 2x4s. It was more like 2 x6s rough sawed lumber.

It impressed us the structural integrity of this home.
