Bayside Legacy is brand new to vacation rentals, it's beautifully renovated (Spring 2024) to the standards of its historic construction period (1930’s), with all modern-day comfort features added. It is perfectly located just 2 blocks from the Chesapeake Bay beach and less than a block from the Town’s Central Park, where music and festivals are presented throughout the season. This home welcomes you with a gracious front porch, surrounded by lush newly-planted landscaping. Rocking chairs invite you to “porch sit” a while; encouraging you to share a wave and a few kind words with walkers and neighbors.
Cape Charles’ main shopping district (Mason Avenue) is only 2 blocks away. There, you will find excellent dining - casual, as well as a bit more upscale - with freshly prepared local seafood and farm produce. Unique shops sell art, sea glass, clothing, and everything in between.
For those evenings you prefer to just relax, you will find a large, open back deck with outdoor seating, a gas grill and quiet privacy. Truly a place to rejuvenate.
The interior of Bayside Legacy is tastefully decorated with light, airy touches, Eastern Shore art, comfy new couches and chairs mixed with age-old, original-to-the-house, antiques. Modern conveniences, such as a 55” flatscreen living room tv and a wall-mounted flatscreen tv in the game room, allow you access to internet entertainment, if you desire. The kitchen features a beautiful leathered granite countertop, extra deep sink, Samsung appliances and a hidden gem of a pantry. Necessary kitchenwares are provided, along with special touches and gadgets you’ll love.
We hope you won’t have to perform any mundane, “everyday” chores, but you’ll find a washer and dryer in the mud room … just in case.
Beach chairs, towels and a beach buggy are all at your disposal. Curbside parking on Monroe Avenue is usually available, but the service alley at the back of the house provides you access to 2 private parking spaces.
Pets are members of our family, so we allow yours to vacation with you because we understand their importance. We believe our guests will appreciate the extra effort we put into making sure the home is spotless, with no signs dirt, dust or pet hair from previous guests.
