Klickitat River's Edge Retreat

Relax on the deck as you enjoy the river flowing by and the view of the majestic canyon wall. This property is on a large lot with boat access, RV hookup and circular driveway. You'll enjoy incredible views from every window. Enjoy the wildlife (turkeys, bald eagles, deer). The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a half bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds and the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds.
There are 5 recliners in the love seat, couch and easy chair.The property has a fire pit with plenty of wood and two picnic tables and benches. This property has a cabin that sleeps six, all with queen size beds. All together the two houses sleeps fourteen people so it is great for family gatherings.

Great place to stay and enter the river. We kayaked from the front door! Nice AC, kitchen, outdoor BBQ, clean…. Klickitat is a nice community - visit the museum, the store… and swim from the beach.

Pleasant Stay in a Scenic Loction
The house was perfect; larger than it looks and on the river. We only spent a short time there, arriving late and leaving early, but it would be great for a bit more time relaxing by the river with a campfire or hanging out in the comfortable living room.

Great Relaxing stay
We had a great time at this house. It was the perfect base camp to explore the Columbia Gorge! Was surprised that there was second house on the property and it caused a bit of confusion when we arrived. But we worked through it with the other guest!

Great House!
Myself and 3 friends rented this cabin for NYE. It’s right on the water and very quiet. There is another cabin about 15 yards away which was a bit surprising but nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and had no issues!

A perfect place for family to gather
The house was nice and clean as well as comfortable and quiet. We chose it for its close proximity to Herland Forest. The neighborhood was nice and having the Klikitat River in the backyard felt very intimate and lovely as we gathered, shared meals and even had a little dance party! The water tasted like it may come from well? But there was a large water dispenser in the dining room so, not really a problem. bbbmeals

Cute updated cabin on the river
The family and I had a very relaxing stay. The inside is completely renovated and was very nice. I loved looking out the huge front window at the hillside while reading my book. There was lot of room for all 5 of us. The river is behind the house. Large deck, we didn’t use much as it was raining. All and all a great stay. We would go back.

Get away with kids
For spring break this was a nice change of scenery for my friend and I with 4 kids, 7 and under. There was enough room when the weather wasn't good for us to have the kids move and play around and plenty of room for sleeping arrangements. There is beautiful remodeling inside the whole house, and the kitchen is well equipped, which made cooking so much easier. There is a nice small sandy riverbank access and picnic benches outside. We really enjoyed the away from it feel but a short drive had the local store (super nice and helpful) , a park with playground, and the Klickitat trailhead. Overall a wonderful place to stay with kids.

We love mountains, rivers, and wildlife. Our son and family live in White Salmon. Our home is in Zillah, WA. We're retired from public education jobs. Our daughters and son work in education also. We enjoy our homes on the Klickitat River. Our cabin was renovated from a 50 year old garage in July of 2010.

Why they chose this property

We think the Columbia Gorge is such a beautiful area and it is close to our son and his family.

What makes this property unique

We watch the wild turkeys, blue jays, bald eagles, and deer come around on the property. We have fun rafting and boating the river, as well as fishing. It is fun to hike and walk in the canyon.
