A wonderful experience - don't miss out!
There is really no question about it - I would alter my future travel dates in order to be able to stay here. The pictures, as you see, are gorgeous, but it's actually even better in real life. The house is right across the street from the ocean, very near to the beach and harbour. We got to see seals! The marina area is right down the hill, and the main part of town is just a ten minute walk. Greystones is a gem, if you don't already know, and an easy train ride or drive to Dublin. Please pay attention to any recommendations that Caroline or Alan make, you won't go wrong. When they say the scones at Spendloves are amazing, believe it! The beds were comfortable, house was very warm and inviting, the dining room looks right out on to the water. Don't hesitate, just book! You will have no regrets.

Lovely home and outstanding holiday
The property is simply beautiful. The location is ideal, overlooking the ocean and walking distance to the town center. The quaint town is perfect - small enough yet provides for your every need. The train station is also walking distance and a nice ride to Dublin. The house is spacious and the beds were very comfortable. However, the best part of the visit is Alan & Caroline. They were gracious hosts providing food upon our arrival and offering advice on everything Ireland. They felt like family! I highly recommend staying at their lovely home. Perfect location with perfect hosts!

House with a view!
What a lovely property, and lovely owners! Within walking distance to all the amenities , beach across the road. Ice cream parlour and The beach house pub around the corner, they do Irish music, and sports and a huge lounge and outdoor seating for families! We enjoyed a few days out around Wicklow to Glendalough, and Powerscourt waterfall. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend this property.

Watersports Haven
A very well appointed home in a great location within easy walking distance of the watersports facilities centered on Greystones harbor and marina [sailing, rowing, diving and fishing clubs] and of a swimming beach. We came primarily to sail so the easy access to the sailing club and the ability to see the sea conditions and watch the racing from the cliffs just outside the front door added to the enjoyment of the week. We were a mixed group of four unconnected people so much appreciated the privacy of the four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen/dining area was a great meeting place with the second floor living room a good place to relax quietly. Caroline and Alan made us most welcome.

Wonderful accommendations
This is a great place to stay in Ireland. Directly across the street from the sea. The house is great. The sun rises over the sea and sets behind the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone that asks.

Perfect Spot, Friendly Hosts
Caroline was quick to respond to every question and need. They were gracious enough to allow our party to check in early and even gave some wonderful recommendations for things to do in the area. The home was comfortable and clean and had every accommodation we needed. It was the perfect place to settle each evening. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! It made the trip so wonderful!

Great cottage by the seaside
We spent one week at the cottage with another couple in late May. The cottage is well situated, with the seaside park and beach literally across the street, in the lovely town of Greystones, south of Dublin. The cottage is very well appointed with a nice kitchen and comfortable bedrooms, all with stunning views of the Irish Sea. The owners were very friendly and gave us many tips on what to visit in the surrounding area. There is a nice pub located a five minute walk away, with other restaurants nearby on the high street. There is a paved walking/cycling path along the shore just outside the cottage and a longer Cliff Walk that goes north to Bray. The Greystones station is a 10 minute walk, with good commuter service to downtown Dublin (a 50 minute ride). Since the Dublin traffic is pretty much a nightmare, the train was very useful. There is also service to the south for visiting Wicklow etc. Sights nearby that we visited by car included Powerscourt waterfall and gardens, the stunning Wicklow mountains, Avoca woolen mill, and the amazing Neolithic passage grave at Newgrange, north of Dublin. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and I can recommend it highly as a base for exploring Dublin and the surrounding countryside.

We loved staying here. House was clean, beds were comfy and the views were spectacular!
If you are looking to experience Ireland then this is the house to stay in!!! We woke up to beautiful sunrises over the ocean every single morning and we didn’t even have to leave our beds. The owners provided us with such great hospitality, I would return in a heartbeat! The town of Greystones is amazing and you can easily walk to amazing restaurants, cute shops, and the Train station to get around. The town is filled with lots of different modes of transportation. By the time the week was over we felt as though we had lived our whole lives in Ireland. The people are so friendly and welcoming!!! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!!

Wonderful House
It's a beautiful house with lots of space, modern kitchen and a nice garden. Right on the water (only a small street and a little park separates it from the sea). In the morning, you can see the most beautiful sunrises directly from your bedroom. It's located a just few minutes from the village with a lot of shops and restaurants and the DART-Station. A wonderful pub is located just a few steps around the corner. We've hat a great time in this house. Thanks to Caroline and Allan, which are there, if you have any questions.

Great stay in Greystones
We had a great week staying in Greystones! The house was lovely and fit our party of 6 adults very well. The location - right along the water and an easy walk from the village full of restaurants and shops - was perfect. Caroline and Alan were informative, easygoing, and friendly hosts as well.

Amazing Place
As soon as you pull up to the house you realize what an amazing sea view you have. People drive and walk down from all over Greystones to appreciate the view you have from all over the house. The place itself is lovely, an older house that has been completely remodeled and kept lots of the charm. Big modern kitchen, very large master bedroom with an amazing view, a small bedroom perfect for a child and two other bedrooms provide a comfortable quiet place to sleep. You are a few minutes walk from great shops and restaurants, 2 minutes away from Dann's with live music on Thursday nights. The owners Caroline and Allan are always available should you have any questions or concerns, a very nice touch was a basket containing breakfast and snacks for the morning so you don't have to rush to go shopping. All in all I can't recommend this house enough.

A wonderful experience from the moment we arrived!
From the moment we arrived at the Clifton House in Greystones, County Wicklow our experience was top notch. Alan met us as we arrived and promptly gave us a tour of the property and amenities. The home itself was outstanding. Aside from the location (over-looking the sea!) the home was wonderfully renovated and updated and provided us with all amenities we would ever need for our stay. A spacious kitchen and common dining area, with private bedrooms upstairs overlooking the water as well! It had a real cozy, cottage feeling providing us with a true Irish countryside experience. Located steps from the local Pub, restaurants and Marina with walking trails and of course - the beach! It was also minutes from the town of Greystones itself with grocery, more restaurants and pubs. Alan and Caroline were accommodating and available if we had any questions or requests. The sunrises were spectacular, and overall our stay was relaxing and very enjoyable. We would most definitely come back!

We'll be back
we had a lovely time in this beautifully maintained period house overlooking the sea. The sunrises were spectacular and we loved the sound of the sea lapping on the shore across the road from this relaxed house. We were able to walk into the village for breakfast in the Hungry Pear restaurant (highly recommended), walk to the Marina - and cook in ourselves from the well equipped kitchen. Caroline is a charming lady, who greeted us, and made us feel very welcome. It was a great base for exploring Wicklow (the garden of ireland). For our group of 4 adults (we stayed 5 nights) can honestly say there were no drawbacks. We'll be back.

Fabuless house in a stunning seaside village
Lovely, spacious property, very clean and well presented, Greystones is a old world village with plenty of really nice restraints and shops and has a very vibrant atmosphere. Very easy location to find coming from Dublin down the N11, however map co ordinates would be helpfull. no need for a car as house is near train station with a good service from the city, however if you want to visit the garden of Ireland ( Co Wicklow ) a car is required but ideal base for touring. Enjoyed closeness of beach and the weather was gorgeous after first day for our entire week!
