Authentic and lovely trulli in Monopoli’s countryside surrounded by garden and olive trees. The trulli are comfortably furnished and sleeps up to five people in three bedrooms.
You are welcomes you to the heart of Apulia, in the fantastic village near Alberobello. Alberobello has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its countless “trulli”, incredible stone houses, with their typical and impressive coned roofs, dating back to the 16th century.
Our trullo is an ancient stone building situated in a quite setting with no other properties in close proximity, full of centuries-old olive trees and other fruit trees (figs, prickly pears, cherries and almonds).
The trullo has recently undergone a careful renovation during which the characteristic parts of the trulli have been restored in its honor. The house has been modernized with the utmost care and offers its guests the highest comfort in an authentic setting.
The trulli, recommended to couples or small families, is provided with:
- a dining room, consisting of a table equipped with six chairs;
- a small kitchen, equipped with refrigerator with freezer, Moka coffee maker;
- a master bedroom with authentic period furnishing;
- a second matrimonial bedroom;
- a third bedroom with a single bed;
- a bathroom with access only from the master bedroom, well furnished and equipped with a shower
- a spacious re-styled outside patio accomodating up to 5 people and equipped with 1 tables, 2 chairs and a great barbecue where numerous steaks, sausages and fresh fish will be cooked and a shady patio for the car.
If you are looking a base from which to explore this fascinating area of Apulia, this property is an ideal location for that. There are a lot of things to see and to do. The countryside surrounding Alberobello is perfect for walking, horse riding and cycling with its endless routes.
A lot of wonderful festivals take place in Alberobello throughout the summer (but even in winter you will find a lot of events): religious, classical, jazz music and the popular International Folk. A lot of interesting towns are just a short drive and the Adriatic coast with its spectacular sandy beaches is only 20 minutes away. The historic Medieval town of Matera with its “Sassi” 35 km. The Caves of Castellana Grotte 15 km Safari Park with Fun Fair in Fasano 15 km. The beautiful whitewashed villages of: Locorotondo (10km); Ostuni (The White) 15 km; Cisternino 14 km; Lecce, the “Florence of the South” 100 km.
After a day spent visiting the surrounding area, you may choose to dine on the patio, enjoying the delicious local wine. Puglia is famous for its great wine: the red robust “Primitivo”; the whites Locorotondo and Martina Franca. Or you can choose to dine in the good and very cheap restaurants where you can enjoy the excellent Mediterranean cooking.
