About this property

Tiny cabin in the woods near Crater Lake. Pet friendly!

Unplug at this unique and tranquil cabin just 45 minutes southeast of Crater Lake. There’s no WiFi and no cell service—just a 300-square-foot cabin on an acre of land minutes away from the Sprague River.

The cabin has a small bedroom with a double bed, a full bathroom, and an open living room and full kitchen. In the living room are two futon chairs that convert to two twin-sized beds. We have parking for multiple cars and an outdoor space with a couple of chairs. We welcome your pets too! Here are some other important notes for staying at cabin: 1 - There’s no Wifi at the cabin and cell service is spotty for most carriers so you'll be unplugged from tech during your stay; plan ahead and prepare for a break from technology.

2 - The cabin has a very small water heater so hot showers only last 4-5 minutes and showers for more than one guest need to be staggered.

3 - cabin is in a septic system so only toilet paper can go down the toilet.

4 - Smoking of any kind is not permitted at the cabin.

5 - Please take off your shoes when you enter the cabin and please wipe off pets’ paws and keep them off the furniture and the bed.

6 - Please respect the property boundaries and don't cut across our neighbors properties; use the roads to walk to the river and back. The corner lot behind the cabin is private property so please don’t walk across that lot.

7 - Our neighbors to the north and east of the cabin may be doing construction work on their properties during the day.

Cozy for Two, Needs Work for Four
This VRBO has the potential to be a great place to stay, especially for a couple's getaway. The location really helps you feel like you are getting away and it was lovely, and you can tell that someone really cares about this cabin. However, there are a few things to keep in mind for future renters. Accommodating Two Guests Comfortably For our stay, the house was perfectly comfortable for two people. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin is very cozy. Sleeping Arrangements for Four The listing advertised the house as sleeping four, but the 2 additional beds were not comfortable for the adult or child who slept on them. For a comfortable stay with four guests, additional bedding or upgrades to the existing beds would be necessary. Smoke Odor Unfortunately, there was a noticeable smoke odor present throughout the house during our stay. There were no forest fires in the area during or before our stay. First-Time Host I believe this may be the host's first time renting through VRBO. With some adjustments, this could be a wonderful rental property. Overall, I would rate this stay 4 out of 5 stars for two guests, but due to the sleeping arrangements and smoke odor, it would be 2 out of 5 stars for four guests. Tips for the Host If you're considering staying here, I recommend communicating with the host (who is very easy to reach!) about the sleeping arrangements and smoke odor before booking and make sure you are prepared for a cold shower!
