Great spot!

Fantastic, well-equipped property that was within walking distance to downtown. Communication with the owner was excellent, and we felt safe and comfortable during our stay.

Cute eclectic house in Fredrick

The house is very cute. Feels like home. It has everything you might need. The owner is very attentive. When we arrived, there was a chocolate and a bottle of wine for us. It’s located 5 minutes walk from the main street with a lot of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay in this cute house.

2nd Stay at this Home - Hopefully the 2nd of Many!

I have nothing but praise for this property. We loved it so much the first time when we dropped my son off to college, we returned to visit 2 months later. The house is incredibly comfortable & welcoming and the energy is soothing. It truly seems to my family like a home-away-from-home. It is super clean, I LOVE cheffing up in the kitchen, relaxing in the beautiful garden is the best (I can't wait to come back when it's cold enough to have a fire out there in the Chimnea!) It's full of all kinds of treasures as well....I love just wandering around admiring all of he beautiful ceramics, art, books...it's like a very cozy, comfy, nostalgic and quirky museum! Laurie is a fantastic host. Very communicative. All of the rental information is organized for guests upon arrival, so there are very few questions you will need to ask. Just open the door and your fantastic stay begins! Location is perfect. Downtown Frederick is a short walk away - it's a beautiful town, full of shops and great food, super people, very safe. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely Enchanting!

We were in Frederick dropping off my son for his first year of college, so I thought to offset the sadness we would make a little vacation out of it! This home was absolutely perfect. The energy is SO peaceful, amenities abound, magical garden, beds, pillows and sheets SOOOOO comfy. The home is filled with beautiful ceramics, fantastic art, beautiful little surprises everywhere. My daughter and I listened to records (Led Zeppelin, Sarah Vaughn, Carly Simon), learned how to make French Press coffee and tea (the coffee/tea situation is outrageous!!!!!), and perused the amazing library - so many fascinating books. Kitchen is perfect - new appliances, spices....everything you need and more! We love the town of Frederick and to be able to walk there was sensational. Our host was so communicative and always available to answer questions. My daughter (16y) summed it up perfectly....she says "One of the most creatively inspiring places" she has ever stayed! Can't wait to return!

A great neighborhood for walking running, dog walking, a community park, with a central park green space of the MD School for the Deaf campus with the Hessian Barracks. 2 blocks to Carroll Creek Linear Park, restaurants, The Civil War Medicine Museum, the Delaplaine Arts Center, the Book Arts Center, a great barber shop and electric bike rental. The 1000 sf garden I created in the side and back yard, the vicinity to Maryland School of the Deaf, a Central Park like environment. The south end of the historic district. A quiet end of the block home with it's own parking, patio, outdoor spaces and only a block to Carroll Creek Linear Park, a swingset and ball field at Harmon Park and adjacent to the big Victorian homes on Clarke Place.
