The Buckeye Cabin is a spacious studio with all the cleanliness and comfort a traveler could ask for. Plenty of deck and indoor space for a couple or family of 4.

Guest access
The journey to cabins ends with an hour long dirt road.
Alhough the fires of 2018 and 2020 came to the edge of our community- we still have plenty of space unaffected by the burn.
Our area remains in great condition along with the lake shore and Elk& wildlife habitats.
*****YOU MUST HAVE VERY RELIABLE CAR WITH TIRES IN GOOD CONDITION and some CLEARANCE FROM JANUARY THRU April.
AWD or 4WD HIGHLY recommended but not mandatory.
We are located in the Lake Pillsbury Ranch Community.
It's made up of a couple hundred homes (mostly vacation cabins). Very spacious and community oriented.
Our property is the largest and most spacious parcel in the community.
Miles of country roads and creeks to walk along. Surrounded by almost one million acres of Mendocino Natl. Forest land. There is a blend of paved and dirt roads in the area. Some areas good for road bikes and some for mountain bikes.
We have access for our guests to the local pond (April-end of July) shared only with small community.
All types of access for many activities- Biking(MT&road) dirt biking, four wheeling, boating, sailing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, hang gliding, hiking, hunting, fishing and birdwatching. Tons of wildlife viewing!
***Always do your own research of region prior to arrival. As far as seasons for off road, hunting and general maps and licenses.
All seasons are very different and so are the activities.
Do not expect a very accessible lakeshore in end of summer months. Also, hard to spot wildlife during heatwaves and crowded holiday weekends.
Lakes, Creeks and Rivers surround you. Only a 15 minute drive to the Lake Pillsbury Basin from cabin. 45 minute drive to the top of Hull Mountain. A quick walk to the pond and creek within the gates. Winding country roads for great views and wildlife sightings. Access to Polo Field for fetch with your pet or AMAZING Star Gazing at night.
Other things to note
**We have been experiencing a lot of County issued -RED FLAG WARNING DAYS in summer & fall months- Which means it's highly likely that Fire Pits will be banned frequently.
**There is no wifi available unless requested. It is a $10 cash fee per cabin. It is available on one side of property. Not in Cabin.
