We had so much fun! The house was beautiful- we loved the porches and the views. Less than 10 minutes to get to Gatlinburg and just over 20 minutes to pigeon forge. The drive in the neighborhood had lots of twists and turns but was honestly fun to drive. The house had everything we needed. Would definitely like to come back!
Over all everything was Amazing! We where disappointed that it was not the sun set view we thought we where getting. It was a sunrise. The only other thing it was not as clean as we thought it should have been. We found dog food under the rug as we were sweeping up a bit. Also there was an empty water bottle under the Master Bedroom bed & the couch on the main floor on the outside wall. For the Money we paid to rent this unit we expected more! The attention to detail was not there! I know you don’t clean it but maybe someone should be checking every now behind the cleaners. I run a business and know how Attention to detail is important. Thanks Bill & Wendy
Every morning there was a five star sunrise. The colors were breathtaking. One day it was just a mist full morning and that was what the "smokey mountains" are known for. Just different shades of blue according to the distance of all the mountains. I was the only morning person in our group and I am catching up my sleep after vacay--lol Well worth it! There was a neighborhood bear that frequented our street and liked to hang out underneath our deck. We took caution on that day hot tubbing. A park ranger at the visitor center said all we needed to do was to yell go away the bears pretty much live alongside the rebuilt area from the 2016 fires and even follow waiting to cross the street when there are cars. The cabin was beautifully decorated. I just have one suggestion--- Maxwell house coffee just doesn't go along with the beautiful house or locality. There is a great coffee shop called 'Black Rifle' supports veterans and I think you should carry/support that brand in your cabin. If there was a way to build a small private grill area that would be terrific as we were uncomfortable using the small one on premise as we would be exposed to any bears walking by...lol The road up was crazy windy but my husband navigated it no problem. We had a small SUV Volvo no problem. We enjoyed our family vacay!
The home is even more beautiful than the pictures. It’s in a great location and on a cul-de-sac with very little traffic and noise. The home is large- 3 stories and beautiful views from each balcony. Very clean and nicely decorated with well stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and living spaces. It was really hot while we visited and I noticed the A/C does not work the same on all 3 floors. The 3rd floor was by far the coolest and the main was very warm compared to the 3rd. For those who like to sleep in a colder room- go to the 3rd floor if staying during a hot time of the year.
The host, Joe and Andrea were great. Andrea was very responsive to my questions during the booking process and stay.
Another fun thing about staying here - there are neighborhood bears! They were one the highlights of our trip and we loved watching them each day. They are pretty quiet and came close on a few occasions, so be aware of surroundings.
