The Kallimarmaro Stadium is 5 minutes away and is a great spot for someone to start sightseeing in Athens. From this point and within walking distance, there are all other Athens sights (Zappeion, National Garden, Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Syntagma Square/parliament, Plaka, Monastiraki).
