Perfect small family vacation home

We could not be happier with our choice to book this home for our vacation. This lovely mid century block style house is equally charming, comfortable and well-appointed. Located on a quiet street at the south end of the key it is two blocks from a private beach. Plenty of everything one might need: beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, sand toys, shelling tools, umbrellas, bicycles, wagon, outdoor games, local guides, etc etc.. to keep a family feeling wrapped in fun all waking hours. For sleep, the beds are so incredibly comfortable. For nourishment, a fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. For chilling, fast WiFi, netflix, DVD’s, comfy sofas, a lovely screened lanai and an overall calm environment. We really appreciated the support we got from both the owner and Evolve (thank you Rachel!) during our stay. This. Is. The. Place. We hope to visit again!

Lovely beach cottage!

We loved our stay! Everything was catered for just bring your food, clothes and toiletries. Loved the bikes, made getting around a breeze. Nice and quiet area. We would definitely stay again, thank you!!!!

This house was perfect for a small family

We came to Englewood for spring break. This house was perfect! We walked to the beach every day, the state park was right up the road. It had all the supplies for the beach that you would need. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was very clean. It was a great alternative for virtually the same price as a cramped hotel room.

Spring Break/Engagement

Our stay at the Englewood home was great. They have good supply of both bath and beach towels; well equipped kitchen- could use more baking sheets/pans- but were able to make do with what was there. Had good supply of coffeepot filters, paper towels and toilet paper. Not sure if these were left from prior renters though. 4 Beach chairs, plus we used the wagon from the shed to cart items to/from the beach. Overall a very good stay. Quiet, comfortable neighborhood.

Excellent rating for this great cottage!

My family really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, well supplied with amenities and comfortable. We loved the location and could walk to Stumps Pass state park (where we spied a dolphin swimming), terrific restaurants and the beach. Beach yoga at Englewood beach is not to be missed! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect beach rental.

Great location, walking distance to beach, park, & restaurants, clean and well stocked home. Neighborhood was quiet. Appreciated gas grill, bikes, beach gear, and alot of extras supplied in the home.

Great little beach house

A Pearl in Manasota Key!

We enjoyed our girls trip here ! We didn't need to bring anything but ourselves and our personal items! Everything is provided to relax and unwind. Even down to the smallest details such as laundry soap for the washer, kitchen supplies, seasonings to cook with etc. The beds are comfortable ! Even though we were worried about 4 of us with one small bathroom, it was very doable! It was great to be able to walk in the evenings with the quiet neighborhood. The nearby beaches were easily accesible. We loved our stay. We will definitely return.

Nice Stay on Manasota Key

The house is great. Not fancy, but cute and clean in a quiet neighborhood. It has nearby access to Stump Pass and the beach. Everything you need. I would recommend it.

BANG FOR YOUR BUCK !

This absolutely adorable little home is a lot of bang for your buck! We found the home to be clean and extremely comfortable as well as the location to the beach just ideal. The rate charged is under the value of the property and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that is quiet, clean, comfortable and especially well located on Manasota Key. Wish we could have stayed for a month! We absolutely love Manasota Key!

Awesome vacation house!!

We had a great time during our stay in Englewood. The house was a little more spacious than we expected and very well-maintained. Extremely clean! The only slight negative I would mention is that the mattresses were a little softer than we would've liked, which wasn't a big deal for us but might be a concern for those with back issues. The neighborhood is quiet, surrounded by other cute houses. We were mainly looking to enjoy the beach and the location was perfect - a couple of beaches within walking/biking distance and more within a short drive. We didn't have any personal contact with the property manager but the check-in email provided all the necessary information. Would stay again, thanks!

Great spring break destination close to beaches and golf - very convenient and comfortable home!

We loved the island of Manasota Key and definitely plan to return! It was so nice to have a choice of 4 different beaches (2 within walking distance) without fighting the normal crowds of Spring Break! This home was so convenient to Stump Pass Park/Beach and Englewood Beach, either by walking or by riding one of the provided bikes. I walked or rode a bike to the beaches while my husband and son played golf at many different great courses within a half hour drive. The owners provide a lot of things others don't - bikes, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, laundry detergent... While we didn't eat in much (so many great restaurants to choose from), it had everything we would have needed. Also, they put together a great guide book for restaurants, activities, etc, that I referred to often.

Just as advertised

My wife and I booked 3 weeks at this house in Feb 2016. It was our first snowbird adventure and we wanted something that would seem like a home away from home. This is a small home however it was very clean and there is certainly enough room for two people. Pluses included the washer/dryer, decent bikes, beach equipment and gas grill. The kitchen was functional. All the appliances were in good order and almost everything else you would need is supplied. Only basic cable channels are available however the wifi worked very well and helped us to keep connected as much as we wanted. The beach is a 5 minute walk if you walk at a leisurely pace. There is not a lot of traffic south of the roundabout on the Key and therefore you can ride and walk on the roads without too much trouble. Most roads in Englewood have either wide sidewalks or bike lanes which is great. Groceries are very close. Very nice YMCA near the hospital. Several state or county parks are also pretty close. Know that if you do want to play tourist as we did, it is easily an hour to get to either Sarasota (Ringling Mansion) or Fort Meyers (Edison/Ford home) given the location and traffic. We didn't consider that as a negative since we knew that going in. We did have a few minor issues during our stay however the landlord was very prompt in addressing those. Should we decide to migrate south again for the winter we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful experience...clean and comfortable lodging near 2 great beaches!

We had a great experience with both the cottage as well as Jim, the owner. We found the cottage itself to fully meet our expectations, being comfortable, clean, and completely functional, as well as being located in a serene, laid-back part of the island, with 2 beaches within easy walking distance. Wonderful experience! Enough so, that we actually contacted Jim, the owner, who accommodated our request to add on a couple additional days' stay. We'll definitely be back!
