The space
Escape to Nature: Family-Friendly Mountain Creekside Cabin

Welcome to your serene retreat nestled in the lush mountains of Barnardsville, just 25 minutes north of Asheville and a scenic 20-minute drive from the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway. Our artfully curated cabins offer an idyllic escape for families and couples seeking to reconnect with nature and each other.

Your Stay:
Experience the comfort of our cozy cabin, complete with a kitchenette, a loft with a queen-sized bed, and a lower level with a flexible sleeping arrangement—a king-sized bed or two twin-sized beds, perfect for accommodating your family. Just steps away, enjoy the convenience of our beautifully solarized bathhouse, featuring a shower, a water-flushing toilet, and a large sink for washing dishes.
We use earth friendly cleaning products, 100% cotton sheets and towels and provide higher end amenities beyond what many other Airbnb's do. DM us for seasonal or prolonged stay discounts. This is a great place for "creatives" to focus and be inspired!

Nature & Activities:
The centerpiece of our property is a clear, flowing creek that invites you to relax by its soothing waters or take a refreshing cold plunge. The lush forest surrounding the cabin provides a perfect backdrop for exploring wild mountain trails and discovering large boulder outcroppings. For a laid-back afternoon, nap in a hammock by the creek or gather around the propane grill for a family barbecue at the covered picnic bench, seating six. We also offer regular Yoga classes every Sunday evening at 6pm on our deck or indoors depending on weather and fresh eggs for purchase from our homegrown healthy, happy chickens.

Family Fun:
Reconnect with loved ones through a variety of lawn and board games available on-site. Our family-run business adds a personal touch to your stay, as we live on the land and are passionate about sharing this peaceful haven with our guests.

Nearby Attractions:
Beyond the tranquility of our grounds, adventure awaits. Within 25 minutes, you can enjoy activities such as horseback riding, river rafting, zip-lining, prime fishing, and hiking spots. For those who love the night sky, epic stargazing opportunities abound in light pollution-free zones, with the Bare Dark Sky Observatory just 50 minutes away, offering year-round tours. The quaint Appalachian towns nearby provide a charming exploration of local culture, and you're only 40 minutes from the Tennessee border with even more rafting and fishing options.

So....whether you're looking to unwind in nature or embark on exciting outdoor adventures, our centrally located mountain cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and accessibility. Book your stay with us and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones.
Guest access
Keys are left in the doors of their cabins for our guests. We are often on site as our family lives on the property as well so we often connect with the guests when they arrive as long as it's not too late. Or connect the following day if you arrive after bedtime.
Other things to note
If you'd like to book a massage, private yoga session or have some fresh eggs or delicious grass fed and organic beef or chicken bone broth available for your stay please DM us.

About the host

Host profile image
We're a family of 3 (artists/healers/entrepreneurs) creating an intentional village empowered by it's own micro-economy. We have both traveled extensively and love hosting people from far and wide in order to learn more about this amazing planet that we inhabit together. Our aim is a community that is focused on fostering whole human wellbeing through personal growth (Mind, Body, Spirit) individual sovereignty, interdependence, community connections with nature/self/others & voluntary collaborations, embracing entrepreneurialism and innovation along with creative exploration and development. Jon and Kristikka are co-parenting our young son and co-creating this vision for community at Mosaic Mountain Village. We strive for a regenerative lifestyle by embracing the harmonious integration of modern innovations coupled with ancient wisdom traditions and constantly learning new things that we then desire to share with others interested in this path.

Why they chose this property

Barnardsville is so beautiful and lush and hosts many people with similar values.Family farms, teachers, healers and our son's school was just a short drive away which clinched it for us. Land like this can provide for all of one's family needs; clean clear water, fertile ground for farming, temperate climate, wild game, harvestable timber for building your own structures. These are foundational. It is also a place with a lot more room for entrepreneurial energy to help it grow in a conscious and intelligent way.

What makes this property unique

We have giant ancient stones on our land that have an energy all their own. We enjoy a 3000' mountain for a nice cardio infused hike, wild life abounds in our woods we have large grassy areas for outdoor games, picnics, mini festivals and the like and the best part is the creek that runs the length of our land. Clean, clear and so refreshing on a hot summer day. The sound of it envelops you once you enter through our bridge.
