Henry Lodge Trip

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Henry Lodge. Clean, cozy cabin with plenty of room for us. The hosts went above and beyond, supplying items that most other rentals don't. Rented a pontoon on Clear Lake, camp fires at night, and met some friendly neighbors s. Highly recommend. We will be back.

We are originally from Farmington Hills, we basically move up to Clear Lake every summer because we are in love with everything surrounding the area. We love off-roading frequently riding side by sides, ATVs, and the occasional dirt bikes. It is what really drew us to the area. We also love the boating and fishing in the area. The perfect day is taking the ATVs out in the morning, getting covered in dirt and mud, then cooling off afterwards with a swim in clear lake. After that, grabbing dinner and drinks at clear lake bar, then wrapping up either on a boat fishing or around a camp fire.

We are excited to be hosting and to share our slice of paradise with others.

Why they chose this property

We started coming to the Clear Lake area in late 2020 and absolutely fell in love with it. We came up here from metro Detroit to ORV then discovered the beauty and fun of Clear Lake and all the areas around it. It is the perfect middle ground to experience all of the up north excitement.

What makes this property unique

You can really experience the history of up north if you look closely at the Henry Lodge. One of the bedroom walls is still the exterior logs from the original cabin built in the 50s with one of the original windows which leads to the bedroom next door. You can imagine what it was like when it was the original hunting cabin with the outhouse still standing in the back corner of the property. The cabin has since been updated to have modern amenities but you can still easily see what it once was.

The cabin is also perfectly located close enough to Clear Lake Bar to be able to spend a few hours there having great drinks and still be able to safely walk back home. If you are into off-roading, we have an off road map hanging on the front door so you can map out your journey. With close access in all directions to hundreds of miles of off road trails, there's no need to load up the toys and drive somewhere for a weekend of fun.
