Steps Away Cottage - Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Downtown

Summary:
This elevated, luxurious cottage is quite literally a few short steps from all that downtown Waynesville has to offer! Featuring a hot tub, fire pit, gas grill, comfy porch and pet friendly policy, this place is perfect for friends and families traveling together. From the gorgeous chef's kitchen to the well stocked game supply, this gathering place has been thoughtfully curated to be a fun and cozy vacation destination.

The Space:
Each bedroom features a queen size bed, TV, and bath with shower/tub combo. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house with the living area in the center, providing plenty of privacy. There is a Pack n' Play and kid's toys on site, along with family board games and Spectrum cable. Water and food bowls are provided for your furry friend!

The front porch is a fantastic sitting spot for alfresco dining, morning coffee or an evening cocktail! The 4 person fire pit and hot tub are protected by privacy fences, so you can relax under the stars. Enjoy a night in grilling on the back porch and dining by the twinkle lights. Keruig coffee is provided.

The Neighborhood:
Downtown Wayensville is a 5 minute walk from the house. Some of our favorite destinations are: the Wall Street Book Exchange, Smokey Mountain Sandwich Shop, Sassafras Toy Store, The Sweet Onion, Wildflour Blue Bakery, Orchard Coffee, and the Blue Ridge Beer Hub.

If you feel like takeout, Uber eats and DoorDash are available. There is also a chick-fil-a a few minutes down the road as well as lots of grocery store options. We recommend our local Ingles.

Getting Around:
Easy walk to downtown Waynesville. 37 minute drive to downtown Asheville.

Other Things to Note:
-Ring security camera is located at front door
-Hot tub is sanitized before and after each stay, please read hot tub instructions in the house manual
-Fence is a privacy fence and is not enclosed
-For your convenience feel free to use any firewood onsite. If you use wood onsite please replace what you used for the next guest. Firewood is available at nearby shops including Lowes and Ingles.

This home was perfect. The location was great and easily walkable to downtown. The home was very clean and well stocked. My wife was very excited to find a frother for her coffee creamer. We plan to return to this property again in the future.

We loved the location for walking to dinner and breakfast with our 2 kids. The neighborhood was quiet and I loved the decor/layout in the house. Overall, we would definitely book this house again!

Awesome House

This house is absolutely wonderful. The kitchen is so well stocked, the beds are comfortable, the showers are great, and the whole layout was perfect. The location allows for an easy walk to downtown and a return to a quiet cozy spot. We will definitely book again here!

Lovely place and great location.

Terrific place to stay and just around the corner from restaurants and shopping. An easy walk. The description of the home is accurate and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Two parking places on the property is also a plus. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great house

We loved the area and the house was almost new. furnishings very nice and clean. Appliances are very modern and worked perfectly. Well stocked except we had only 4 bath towels for the two of us for the six day stay. However the owner provided detergent and dryer sheets and a very nice laundry room so it was no big deal to wash often. Great place we will return soon.

Book this cottage!

My husband and I stayed at Steps away cottage with our friends who are also married. The online listing for the cottage is exactly what you get and more! This place exceeded our expectations. The decor is so adorable and feels like home. The cottage is stocked with everything you could possibly need for a vacation. The hot tub was so fun! We used it every night. We walked everywhere in Waynesville for meals and shoppes. We will definitely be rebooking if we ever get back to the area. Do not miss out on this listing! Amazing!

"Steps Away" is a gem of a place to stay. Be sure to bring your own bath soap, but you'll find anything else you need. Hot Tub was not available for us...may need to check to see if it's seasonal use only. Walking distance to downtown. The wedding venue was Laurel Ridge CC, and only 10 minutes away.

Wonderful property!

This house is a very short walk to downtown Waynesville. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything you need! We especially loved that each bedroom had a television, the washer and dryer, the cute yard with the fire pit/hot tub, and the ease of check in. It was our first trip to Waynesville and we highly recommend visiting this town with its many good restaurants and cute shops and this property was perfect!

Beyond perfect rental walkable to downtown Waynesville!

My husband and I have stayed at PLENTY of rentals and this one is one of the best! The home itself is absolutely adorable and beautifully decorated. It's charming and loving. It has a wonderful hot tub and a great fire pit to use. And the bonus is that's it's walking distance from downtown Waynesville for shopping and fun. Just a word, make sure to bring your own soap and shampoo as this rental does not have any to use. Great spot! I would highly recommend!

Magnificent place and great location.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We absolutely love the house and the town of Waynesville. This house is lovely and walking distance to all the shops downtown. The host is the best, very responsive.
