Inside the cabin, enjoy all of the true cedar log cabin elements including, exposed spruce tie beams, white cedar trim, walls, and cathedral ceilings. Take the ladder to the loft where you'll find two twin beds. The master bedroom is located on the first floor. Access to the basement is behind the bookcase in the master bedroom. In the basement, you will find the laundry, an office space, and an open space with a foam floor, perfect for morning yoga.

Things to Know:
• Kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, appliances, coffee, tea, and basic spices. (Keurig and drip coffee maker are provided.)
•We are dog-friendly (fees do apply)- Our two pups (Oliver and Willow) are happy to share their bowls (located under the kitchen sink) and rope toys.
• We are located in a rural area, surrounded by trees, but we do have neighbors. Please be respectful.
• Children are welcome! Please note that the house is not fully childproofed. We do have plug covers in the loft area, but not in the rest of the house and there are no child locks on cabinets, doors, windows, etc.
• A baby gate and a pack-n-play are available.
• The loft bedroom is only accessible via ladder and is not ideal for toddlers as they will want to climb the ladder (my 1-year-old nephew is the reason for this note) and we do not have a way to block it off.
• We do have a private office space located in the basement. It is complete with a desk, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and HDMI cables. Please leave the space as you found it. If office equipment is missing you will be charged.
• There is an exterior camera pointed towards the driveway.
• There is no smoking permitted inside the cabin or on the porch. Please keep smoking to a minimum of 10' from the cabin and please do not dispose of any butts on the property or in the woods. You will be charged $1,000 for violations of smoking inside the cabin.

Pleasant stay

We had a pleasant 4 day stay. This trip was for our daughter's birthday. She loved the cabin and still talks about it. The cabin was tidy and well equipped. The location is secluded with a short and scenic drive into town. If we're ever back in the area, we would certainly stay here.

Marvelous place to soebd time with family

This has been one of the best stays we ha e ever had! The cabin was so clean and cozy! The kids loved the loft and there was plenty to keep them occupied! The location was quiet and we took walks up the road and into the woods for beautiful views! Our hosts were kind and considerate and promptly answered all my questions. Cozy, clean and well appointed cabin

This cabin is top notch. VERY clean. Don't know how old it is but swear it must be brand new. We really appreciated the stocked cabinet!!!! We only bunked there for the night but would love to come back again when we can spend time at the beautiful Lake Penneseewassee (hopefully I spelled it correctly) just a stone's throw away.

Hi! My name is Emily. I own this home with my husband, Austin. We currently live here in Maine with our two dogs, Oliver and Willow. We both love all things home improvement and love that we can share our home and the work we’ve done with our guests!

Why they chose this property

We looked for a home for over a year before we found this cabin! and from the first time I saw the listing I was sold! When we arrived at the cabin for the first time we fell in love with the front porch and how cozy the space was. As we explored the area, we learned all about the town of Norway and the surrounding area. There is so much to do in there, that we knew it was the perfect getaway spot. The neighborhood is very peaceful, the street we are on has the most amazing views and we could not be happier with the cabin and the location. Now we are lucky enough to share our cabin with you.

What makes this property unique

The location. You are minutes away from multiple lakes, downtown Norway, hiking trails, snowmobiling trails and so much more, yet you are in the most peaceful place. It’s quiet, set back from the street, nestled into the trees, and located on a dirt road with amazing views. Inside the cabin, it is a true cedar log cabin with elements including, exposed spruce tie beams, white cedar trim, walls, and cathedral ceilings. A true testament to the true craftsmanship of a Ward Cedar Home. You'll find a hand-crafted ladder to the upper sleeping loft, and a hidden door to the basement in the master bedroom. (Hidden behind the bookcase!) My favorite part of the cabin is the covered front porch! Rain, snow, or shine, I love to sit out there and listen to the sounds of nature, read a book, drink my coffee, or enjoy an evening cocktail. Grab a blanket and a hot chocolate in the winter for a true Hallmark movie moment as you watch the snow fall and listen to the silent crisp sound of the falling snow!
