THE SPACE
The first room is a large space with two single beds. Attached to it is the smaller bathroom. From the first space, you enter into a small hallway that leads to the bigger bathroom, to the bedroom with a double bed, and to a living room with a kitchen, sofa, TV, and dining table. This room overlooks the Ljubljanica River and has a view of the castle.
This 64 m2 (688 sq. ft.) apartment was completely renovated in 2008 (new hardwood floors, walls, tiles, windows, doors, etc.).
The mattresses were replaced in 2022, a new washer and a new dryer were bought in 2023.
Clean towels, sheets, and all bedding provided.
We also provide toilet paper, paper towels, soap, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, and dishwashing detergent, as well as some cleaning supplies.
You can find extra blankets and extra pillows in the bedroom closets.
There is an iron and ironing board that you can use, as well as a clothes-drying rack.
There are also books, slippers, a sewing kit, and other small necessities in the apartment to make your stay more comfortable.
There are two air conditioning/air heating units in the apartment - one in the living room where the sofa is and the other one in the room with the two single beds.
We have floor heating and radiators in all the rooms. Each room can have a different temperature setting. Guests have access to the thermostat for all heating/cooling devices
All rooms have hardwood floors.
The apartment has double windows designed to minimize the outside noise.
The apartment is located in the main square of the city which is a pedestrian zone. There is no car traffic outside, and the double windows block the sound well. Because of various festivals and events taking place in the vicinity (mostly in the summer, and usually only on the weekends), there can still be some street sounds heard from the outside.
CLEANING
The calendar is blocked 24 hours between bookings so we can get the apartment ready a day before the guest's check-in date. Therefore, check-in earlier than 1PM is sometimes possible, it might also be possible to stay a few hours after the 1PM checkout time.
We follow the cleaning protocols published by the National Institute of Public Health. This includes airing out the apartment and providing disinfectant and other cleaning supplies.
We regularly clean mattresses and the sofa with Hyla deep-cleaning system.
CITY TOURIST TAX - IMPORTANT
The Ljubljana city tourist tax has to be paid by guests in all hotels and private apartments. The tax is 3.13€ per adult person per night, 1.57€ for children 7-17 years and free for children 0-6 years old. This tourist tax is already listed in the pricing information, but to simplify the process we only collect 3€ per night for every adult (18 or older) person staying which is to be paid in cash at check-in.

RECOMMENDED PARKING
The apartment does not have a parking space but paid public parking is located 30 meters away in an underground parking garage Kongresni Trg right below our square - we recommend parking a bit farther away because the rates here are very high.
We recommend parking lot Mirje (~12 euros/day, 12 minute walk from the apartment), parking garage Trdinova (7 minute walk, 60 eur for a 4 day rental, 65 eur for a 5 day rental, 75 euros for 7 day rental, 105 eur for a 10 day rental etc.), or parking garage Kozolec (11 minute walk, 1.50 eur/hour from 7am-7pm, 2EUR for the whole night between 7pm-7am).
After booking, I can send you a map with more parking options and detailed pricing.

The closest bus stop Drama (city lines 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 19, 27) is located a 2-minute walk away from the apartment.
Our building is located in the main square of the city, so there might be festivals and events going on during your stay, especially in the summer months and usually on the weekends.
The apartment has double windows which block the street sounds well, but if you prefer a very quiet space it is best to stay in the area outside the inner city center.
We are one minute away from Preseren square and the Triple bridge (Tromostovje), two minutes to the City hall, a 15-minute walk to the Ljubljana Castle.
Grocery store, restaurants, bakery, coffee shops, bus stops all within a few minutes's walk.

They can pick you up and drop you off at one of the fixed points in the vicinity (some being only 5 minutes away from our apartment) or at a specific address.
The closest dropoff/pickup point is Hotel Cubo which is a 3 minute walk from our apartment.
Goopti also offers rides to all bigger Slovenian cities and tourist destinations like Postonjska Jama or Bled.
BUS
We also recommend Flixbus, their bus service connects all major cities in Slovenia and abroad for an affordable price.
Nomago is another bus/shuttle company with good connections to airports and major cities and you can get good rates if you book on their website.
LJUBLJANA CITY BUS
To ride the city bus you are required to have the URBANA card which you can purchase and refill in many stores. Or you can use the Urbanomat machine (looks like a green ATM), the closest one is located at the Konzorcij bus stop and at the Drama bus stop to load the card.
The Urbana bus card costs 2€. One card can be used for multiple people.
This card can also be used to pay for parking and bike rental.
City bus to or from Ljubljana's main bus/train station:
Bus lines connecting our apartment with the Ljubljana main bus/train station are 2, 9 and 27, it is about a 5 min ride. The bus stop closest to our apartment is called Drama and the bus stop at the main station is called Kolodvor (3-4 stops).
