About this property
The Captains Rest- Amazing Veiws on Lake Champlain. Waterfront and historic
This is room 1 and 2 of my cabin, they are connected through the bathroom. A small kitchen in room 1 with everything you would need for a extended stay. Perfectly cozy for a family, with loft bed and futon couch bed in room 1 and a queen memory foam mattress in room 2.
We provide fire wood for the fire pit, water front beach area for launching the kyaks and canoe we offer use of. We have a axe throwing, corn hole and giant janga for fun as well as chalk and toys for children if needed. We usually provide smores supplies and equipment. Bicycles are available as well as coffee, and other goodies upon arrival.
The historic Town of Essex is almost frozen in time with the friendly and relaxed nature of the town. You can sit for hours at times and see only a handful of folks walk or bike by, watch the ferry go back and forth all day and then at the end of the night stop by the firehouse tavern and get a pint with the old and new generations and listen to some music and play darts or pool while viewing the lake.
