About this property

Come & relax on the front porch or back deck. Enjoy 1.2 acres of large shade trees, perennial flowers and flat yard. Build a fire in the back yard, play outdoor games, relax inside with a book or puzzle from the closet or play one of the board games provided. Bring your boat and launch at public ramp 1 mile away. There is parking at house for pickups with boat trailers. The secure garage is available to store your bikes, kayaks or motorcycles in. Walk path across road to lakeshore.
Great location for water lovers, bicyclists, or motor cycle enthusiasts that like to do loop around lake or go into Des Moines. Take a 2 mile drive to Jester Park Equestrian center or 3 miles to the water park or a short drive to several golf courses. House is 2 miles from Polk City, 5 miles to Johnston, 4 miles to Grimes area. All have restaurants, bars, grocery shopping & convenience stores.
Kitchen is well stocked with coffee maker & filters, toaster, mixer & bowls, nice silverware, stainless cooking pots, real dishes, glasses & stemware. Bathrooms are stocked with towels, washcloths, soap & shampoo. Due to severe allergies this is a no animal property.

Beautiful home and so relaxing!!

Everything you will need for your stay. Very close drive to any thing you might need. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer.

Excellent Get-away

Outstanding property and hosts go out of their way to make the place feel welcoming! Strongly recommend this property. A nice add would be WIFI if you need to do some work while on vacation. Altogether, will look to book this place each time I visit home.

Great Experience

My family and one other family stayed at the house for a local softball tournament in the area. We enjoyed everything about the house it was exactly what we expected. It was near all the ball fields that we could have possibly played at but still had that feeling of being far enough away that we could relax and enjoy our time away from the city life. Patricia was very nice, responsive and accommodating for us which made our stay even that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking in the area. We will definitely see if this property is available next time we have a softball tournament in the area.
