Awesome location!

We loved staying at Daniel's place! It was close enough to Knoxville to make it into town easily when we needed to, but right in nature which was what we were looking for. The place itself was plenty big enough for our group, and we will definitely stay again when we come back next year!

We had a great stay

Our stay here was excellent! Our purpose was to visit my mom. This place was very close to her house. It was very clean! Communication with the owner was very easy and quick to respond. There was plenty of room for all of us and there was plenty of games for the kids to enjoy. The adults enjoyed them too! I would definitely recommend this place. We are considering staying here again in the future!

Perfect hidden getaway

Loved the property, perfect mountain views off front deck and hottub in rear. Nestled out of traffic and away from everyone but only a 30 minute drive to pigeon forge made traveling a breeze even if traffic in town was heavy.

Excellent country home!

This house is awesome. Super clean home and property, with a firepit, brand new hottub, and all the amenities. I'm a builder, so I was impressed with the modern hardware like showerheads, faucets, etc. It's a relaxing and impressive place to spend a few days away!

Serene location

We were very pleased with this stay. Central location to start any excursion from with beautiful scenery on the drives. Very comfortable place to come back to and relax. The hosts provided plenty of games and activities but the best part was enjoying the mountain views with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Cozy stay

We stayed here for a UT football weekend. It was very cozy and perfect for our early November stay. Hot tub was very nice and relaxing after traveling. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms, clean kitchen, cozy living room. Would recommend staying here. The only thing we didn't realize is that it is about 12 minutes off the main road and lots of windy roads to get there. It was about 40 minutes from UT's campus but would be very convenient if going to Pigeon Forge.

Property + Host = 5 Stars

Our party of 7 traveled to the Knoxville area this past weekend (on short notice) to attend the Morgan Wallen concert at Neyland Stadium. Hotels were either already booked or too expensive for what they offered us. Insert Daniel and this gorgeous property located only 30 minutes from the stadium (roughly). About the house: Our stay was short (Friday - Sunday), however, this property did not disappoint. The house is very clean & spacious with gorgeous views and plenty to do (or not do) both inside and out. Its location is very private and secluded. Note: a bit of caution is advised while navigating the narrow and winding roads to get there, but trust me, it’s worth it. About the host: Daniel is a top-notch communicator! He is polite and always responds promptly. In fact, when we ran into a transportation issue getting to the concert, Daniel came thru. He quickly provided more than one option for us to explore outside of Uber/Lyft which neither could accommodate. A special shout out to Jody at Driverz Taxi Service for getting us all to/from the concert safely and at a very reasonable cost. Overall, I am highly recommending Daniel and his “Smoky Mountain retreat” to anyone traveling to the Knoxville, TN area looking for an affordable home away from home. Whether it’s for a concert, Vols Athletics, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge… you name it, you will not be disappointed.

What makes this property unique

History of the Farm: For over 200 years, this land was known as the “W. R. Rogers’ Farm.” After serving as a colonel in the Revolutionary War, Mr. Willoughby Rogers made his way to the Sevier County hills to spend his remaining years farming and raising livestock. Through the years, this land remained with the original family, passed down through generations, until we were lucky enough to become the new caretakers.
