RELAXING, CLEAN & COMFORTABLE
Fourteen of us stayed there and we had an anytime. In the beginning we had some issues with the water pressure on the house but that was worked out pretty quickly. We had a very good time there. The property was exactly what they had listed. The rooms were very comfortable. I would recommend you bring your pwn sheets because you’re accustom to that. It’s very quiet, didn’t even know we had neighbors…everyone pretty much kept to themselves. We were literally feeding the deers vegetables from the balcony. It was an experience my kids will remember forever. Bring your garbage bags, the ones provided are very weak. OVERALL I GIVE THIS PROPERTY FIVE STARS.

It was okay
Appliances are pretty old, spider webs around, old hard blankets so I suggest you bring your own. Had a hard time trying to locate the dumpster for the trash and when we did, they gave us a hard time saying we needed a form which I had on my phone and an ID but they didn’t want to accept it. I had to call for help several times before I had someone answer me. I sent emails and tried contacting the owner and still no feedback about my complaints. Overall the house was a good time, it was near a lake which was nice. And I thought the house was secluded cause of the pictures on here so before booking, if you want a secluded house just know there are neighbors super close.

Surpassed our expectations
Great location, spacious , & very clean. A little fly infested but overall clean property. We had a great time will be back in the warmer months to visit the lake nearby.

Good for large families but lake access is crap shoot
Rented this large house for an August family reunion of 11 people ranging in age from 86 to 10. I picked the property because of the size, close proximity to the lake, community pool and other outdoor activities. Unfortunately swimming in the lake was prohibited the entire time we were there because of high bacteria levels, which was pretty disappointing. We only found this out the day we arrived from a fellow disappointed beach goer. As mentioned by other reviews, several of the beds have the loudest, creakiest mattresses ever. No joke. We had a contest to see which was the loudest. The house could also use an interior paint job. There were several patched walls with white plaster over the holes (I think where speakers had been removed and just waiting for a whole house paint job). On the positive side, my family loved the TVs in the bedrooms with Hulu, Netflix etc. the hot tub was great and 2 separate living rooms were ideal for teens and adults. Also the pool table was fantastic. House had a great Weber grill (my husband is picky and bad grills are disappointing in a vacation house). Yard can’t really be used for lawn games as there is not much flat space but great walking neighborhood.

Great remote getaway
Great spacious house for a holiday getaway with friends. The management company was easy to reach when we had questions. Our recommendations would be new kitchen supplies (non stick pans) and softer beds with more linens available. Overall a great stay and would recommend to another group!

Beds were uncomfortable, old and noisy(squeaky). The home was clean except for the floors that were sticky and not cleaned. Location is good. Kitchen is very well equipped. Children could not use backyard as it is not flat as it seems in the pictures. Livingroom and game room are good size .

Lots of great things - a few things I would change
Overall, we had a really fun stay at this property - here are our pros and cons to keep it simple for you! Pros: Size of the space was fantastic for a large group Loved having 2 living rooms! We did really have what we needed, pots, pans, dishes, etc. Loved that we had plenty of gas for the grill and didn't have to call on that! Location was amazing - super close to the clubhouse, pool and beach, but not so close that it was an annoyance. Cons: The air conditioning is not central so the first and second floor bedrooms barely got any air, making sleeping pretty uncomfortable in the summer. The Master was fine with air since it had its own unit Beds were not super comfortable, and quite loud Backyard wasn't flat as it appears in the photos. There was a large area that was elevated, so hanging out in the yard wasn't as easy as it could have been at other homes. Wish there had been an easy email or way to get ahold of property manager 24/7 so I didn't have to call within normal business hours. Typically with personally owned homes it's a bit easier to get ahold of the owners versus a management company.

My Birthday Weekend at the Horizon

As soon as we got there, the place was beautiful. The rooms and accommodations were magnificent, and the house felt super luxurious. If you wanted to have fun, this place would be the place. If you wanted a little peace and quiet, this would also be the spot! Everything from the price to the venue as a whole was well worth it. Given the chance, I'd come back with a bigger group! Patrice, who helped me with the booking, was an absolute pleasure to deal with!!!!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you’re renting this place, bring everything you have. They provide nearly nothing. For $250, we were given the option to rent linens. Thats ridiculous. So we had to provide our own sheets and towels. Sheets for beds that are lumpy and squeaky. Maybe bring your own mattress too. The space is ok. A little strange to come in to a pool table and bar. But at least spacious. Next time, I’d rather rent a house run by the owner. During the evening, We had some questions about the garbage but no one answered when I tried calling Poconos Rentals. And though the app is cute, it was a little hard to navigate, and check out instructions didn’t start appearing on my phone until after we left. We’re grown ups with grown up logic, but still, I would have liked to communicate with some human being during the stay, rather than an app.

It was dust and cobwebs on the ceils the bathrooms was nasty it was like maintenance didn’t exist at all!! My daughter has three asthma attacks from the dust our first night I had to clean the property myself I wouldn’t rent again this property again.

It was not quite as updated as I thought it would be but it was a nice place. There was plenty of room for our 14 person group though the kitchen could have used more utensils, glassware and plates. We loved having two areas to hang out. We ended up having the adults downstairs with the bar and pool table and the kids upstairs watching a movie. Awesome entryway and plenty of space for our ski gear. We were very close to Big Boulder and Jack Frost. Grill worked great. All in all a solid place to stay.

Only cons was that the home wasn’t cleaned by house keeping properly-the pillows were dirty, the stove/oven wasn’t clean, the room had trash particles, the chairs were falling apart because the furniture is old. Other than that, we made the best out of it since we couldn’t get in contact with housekeeping. We cleaned everything ourselves. The trash dumpster was hard to find bc we put the address in the GPS and it lead us to the middle of no where. We were able to find it thanks to a construction worker.This is my second year doing business with Pocono Mountain rentals and I must say this house was HUGE, kitchen was fully equipped, lots of open space, and we didn’t have to worry about being squished in the house.
