Enjoy our 3,600 square foot five bedroom three bathroom + outdoor shower Galveston Bermuda Beach home. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the beach and bay. Just steps from the beach [1 house back with direct side views], this end of the lane location assures private enjoyment of the beach while entertaining friends and family.

Beautiful sunset gulf beach views from three levels of floor to ceiling windows; including a 360 degree view from the unique above-the-roof enclosed air conditioned “crows nest” and outside sun-deck. Reverse floor plan, with elevator, sleeps up to 20, the beach home is perfect for inside air conditioned open living space entertaining,kitchen, dining, living and game room. Kitchen has granite countertops, table for 6 plus breakfast bar facing the beach. Dining room has seating for 12 with a folding table and chairs available for seating up to 20, game room table seats 6.

Over 2,000 square feet of south and west facing decks (1,000 feet shaded) with large gas BBQ grill on the ground level and seating for outside entertaining. Walkway to the beach is adjacent to the house.

Room to Roam and Great Beach Location

This place has expansive space to spread out and relax, a useful and well-equipped large kitchen, and beautiful views from everywhere! We had one small hiccup with the keypad battery and the hosts and their local representative were quick to respond. We highly recommend this place!

Beautiful Beach House

Beautiful well furnished home and everyone that came had a great time. Spoke to Owner and she was a very pleasant and hospitable host. Loved visit so much we are planning another trip there soon.

Mar-Sea Shoals is Highly Recommended!

We had 15 family members ranging from 72 to 11 months. The elevator was wonderful for my 72 year old mother-in-law. We had a great time together and hanging out on the beach.

Fantastic House

We have been doing a family beach trip for 22 years now - this year there were 14 of us ranging in age from 1 to 75. Can’t say enough good things about the house. It is stocked way better than most houses, great bedrooms, plenty of space for everyone and having an elevator is amazing. The beach is a very short walk away - very clean and car free.

Another Great Stay at Mar-Sea Shoals!

This was our third time to stay in this home, and it did not disappoint! Large living areas, plenty of seating at the dining table, a full kitchen--the house has everything our large group needed for a getaway. The location is great, at the end of a quiet street with easy beach access and beautiful view of sunset. We were sad to see the signage for a new development planned for the green space next to the house but hopefully that will be a long time coming. We hope to back again next year!

Our New Favorite

This was our favorite place to stay in Galveston so far. It worked really well for our traditional family beach vacation. I am very particular about cleanliness. This house was one of few that was up to my standards. This was the most important characteristic I was looking for (aside from being in the right place and having the right number of beds). This is a very well maintained house. There was plenty room for everyone. The beds were comfortable and the layout is nice for a group of families. the house is very well furnished and decorated. Comfortable, relaxed. Plenty of seating. All the little details that make it awesome. The views of the beach are amazimg from the decks! It is very easy to access the beach, just a few steps and you are there. The beach was fairly private, with only a couple other families from the neighborhood and a big open empty stretch on the right. I think it is very likely that we choose this location again next time!

Beach Boil

This house was perfect for a quick weekend with friends. We hosted a crawfish boil and there was plenty room to accomodate overnight guests. 15 second walk to the beach was ideal. Make sure to bring mosquito spray, but everything else was perfect.

Bachelorette weekend

Bachelorette weekend with friends and family. Great house, quiet and secluded. Private 3 story, nicely decorated and fully equipped. Relaxing time and plenty of room! Second time staying at this house would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very convenient spacious beach house. With small children the elevator was very helpful in getting them up and down as well as our supplies. The beach is steps away and sitting out at night on the decks watching and hearing the waves was wonderful. We had no issues - everything is right there for a long beach weekend!

Review

Great home but the house between us and the beach had 2 dogs that were barking non-stop all day and most of the night. The family that had the dogs appeared to be the owners of the house as they were doing repairs. The dogs were less than 20 ft from our bedroom. The 10PM to 8 AM quiet hour certainly did not hold true in the neighborhood. Al Ward

Great owners and a good house.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this home. We easily fit the 6 cars we had into the garage/driveway. The large table was great for our group of 11 people at meal times. There were lots of side tables for puzzles/games. Watching a big storm roll in from the Crow's Nest was one of the trip highlights. The beach was an easy walk away and there were usually very few people on it, which was nice. The porches overlooked a lovely field with a nice view of the ocean, especially for being the second row of houses back. The owners were very responsive with any issues that came up and did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed our vacation at this home and would go back again.

Family Reunion

This house was perfect for a “home base” for our family reunion. The elevator was so much appreciated for bringing up groceries and items as well as access for our elderly relatives. The walk in shower was big enough for a shower chair and perfect for our elderly relatives that stayed. The house was beautiful with a wonderful view of the beach. We felt like we had our own private beach as this part of the beach does not allow cars. Can’t say enough about the condition of the house. Everyone had a great time! Thank you to the owners who responded quickly with the code issue to get into the house.

Great Home for a family reunion

Home is second row from the beach. Not on beach front, but with the open balconies and views on the beach, it is really nice. The elevator is the best feature and was very useful for our handicapped seniors.

Beach view awesome

We had such an awesome time! I've rented in Galveston 5 times, and this house was very accommodating with all the bedrooms and open living areas and being able to eat together because of all the seating and room. We would not hesitate to rent this again.

Great house for my Dad’s 95th birthday

Check in was awesome. We had two people on walkers staying, so having an elevator was important. The house is in a great location with wonderful beach views and fully stocked with what you need. Our only hitch was the elevator breaking on Saturday evening. We had to carry my dad down three flights of stairs. There was no one to look at it over the weekend and so we had to haul all our stuff down three flights of stairs on Sunday - not a big deal, but my sister had to be carried down. That was a real bummer. It’s a very nice house though.

We are Jeff and Leslie, retired professionals who love to travel and enjoy live. We have four homes (located in Galveston, TX, Northern Michigan - Petoskey, Southern CA - Ventura and a condo in NYC on the upper west side) all of our homes are set up as vacation rentals. We bounce between our homes based on seasons and rental schedules. During the summer we works as aquatic and waterfront directors at over-night youth summer camp in the Poconos.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this home as a place to bring our families together and create lifelong memories. Our two children and their spouses both live in the Houston area and both have two daughters, we rented a home in the historic section of Galveston for a couple of family weekends and decided it made sense to purchase a family home on the beach for weekends and holidays holiday get-togethers.

Often we have non Houston family members join us. The name of the house MarSea~Shoals is a play of both of our last names and since "mar" is sea in Spanish and a shoal is a sand bar and also "trouble" it seemed the perfect combination.

We hope our home will bring your family and friends together to create memories.
