About the host
Hosted by Oscar Icaza

Nora is the property owner and a migrant from Nicaragua to Seattle. Nora resides in Seattle but comes and stays at the property for much of the year and enjoys renting it out to folks when it’s not in use by her or our family. She loves crafting stained glass, enjoying nature, and traveling the world. Oscar, the host, is a family friend who lives nearby in Managua and assists with the on-site assistance of managing the property. He is a friendly, kind, and very helpful guy!
Why they chose this property
This property is Nora’s childhood property. Her family moved to this property after their home was destroyed in the 1970 earthquake. Her parents resided on the property until 2015 when her father passed away. Since then, the property has been completely remodeled and has become a vacation destination for family and guests.
What makes this property unique
This property has a lovely climate with monkeys swinging from the trees above, seasonal fruit trees, and sits at the foothills of Mombacho Volcano. Enjoy views of the volcano from the property! Close to Granada, Pueblos Blancos, Mombacho, and Lake Nicaragua it is a great destination for visiting Nicaragua.
