New Hope - 1798 House
We absolutely loved this property and would definitely stay here again. The home was beautifully furnished and very spacious. We were a family of five adults attending a wedding in the area and the location was perfect for the three wedding events that we attended in the area. The property had beautiful outdoor areas including gardens, a fire pit and patio. The host was very easy to work with, even allowing us to change our reservation days. The home was an easy drive from Philadelphia. Thank you for sharing your home with us!💕

We are new to VRBO but as a semi-retired couple who enjoy travel, we decided to share our dream home of 15 years. We hope you enjoy our little slice of Heaven as much as we have here in Bucks County.

Why they chose this property

I grew up in Yardley, PA, just 12 miles south of New Hope. When we first saw 1798 house, we fell in love with its classic historical charm and the setting of a quiet country road. Our neighborhood is dotted with homes like ours, with varied ages from 1700’s to a few newer ones, all on heavily wooded lots. A walk down our road is picturesque with wildlife, and feels more like a stroll on a path in the woods, as many homes are not visible from the road. We especially liked the convenience of one mile from town so we can enjoy all of the dining, shopping and activities New Hope and Lambertville has to offer. One of our favorites is biking or walking along the canal path to Stockton Market for lunch.

What makes this property unique

People who have visited 1798 House always comment on our home’s charm, with its pumpkin pine floors, large wood-burning fireplace, brick pathways and patio, vaulted beamed ceilings, and lush gardens. Mornings will find a guest sipping on coffee in a comfy RH swivel barrel chair on the sun porch, or in our little library with a good book, or lounging on the private patio. Guests enjoy these quiet places before starting an often busy day. Recently we’ve added a solar lit path through the back wooded area of the property that takes you to another sitting area with another fire pit.
