We were a little nervous upon arrival, it was exceptionally cold that day Dec 22nd, 2 deg at night ,and we were afraid it wouldn't heat up. However, between the heat pumps and the electric fireplace, it became toasty! Very convenient, 2 bathrooms great !We would definitely book again !
Perfect for us due to access to the main road. We were doing lots of driving. Proximity to route 44 could be a negative for some, but it was ideal for us. Everything was well kept and loved by homeowners.
My husband and I stayed here with our baby daughter over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was cozy and clean with a gorgeous view of the lake! It would be fabulous to go swimming off the dock in the summer time! The cabin has two decent sized bedrooms with queen sized beds so you could easily fit two families here. Sherry was incredibly friendly and very easy to get in contact with! Ten out of ten would recommend!
Over all, the property lived upto it's listing. It was clean, neat and orderly. The floors are a bit out of level, but the cottage suited it's purpose. Would stay again!
I booked this house as a gathering place for my sisters and I, and it was wonderful! The location on the lake was great. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and may come back again in the summer to fully enjoy the amenities!
This was the perfect place to relax. This cottage has all the comforts of home and everything you need for your stay. Great view of the lake. Check out is 10 am, Noon would be a better time.
Karen was the best. We had a few minor things like needing hot water in the shower. She sent someone right away. When we had a slightly bigger problem.....a problem with the well.....she was right there to get it fixed. She communicated with us and kept us informed. Even though we stayed 4 of our 6 nights she refunded the entire amount we paid. The lake is beautiful and the neighbors are friendly. It was close to UCONN Storrs. Shopping was close. It is a cottage so understand it’s not luxury but nice and comfortable. The floors slant in the living room which add to the charm of the age of the house. We loved it and would definitely stay agein.
This nice lakeside cottage provided very suitable shelter for us while visiting friends and family in the area. It is a good thing that we were not expecting to spend a lot of time along the lake, as the weather was most foul during our stay. It was enjoyable to watch the Blue Heron stride along the shore one misty morning.
Such a cute little cottage! Beautiful view, very clean and nice location. The lake was so calm and pretty! Great place to kick back and relax with family!
Everything you need; don't have to pack anything but your clothes and swimwear
Only negative are there are no lake toys
The cottage is clean and very comfortable and outdoor lawn and patio idyllic
The lake is clean and refreshing with easy access from dock/stairs
Great for families with children
The property was neat and clean. Loved being on the water and watching the birds. It's a neat little cottage with quirky characteristics. Comfortable and warm Will most likely stay there again when visiting our son.
My son, age 8 and my daughter, age 3 and I stayed @ this cottage over the past week. It is such a cute spot. Very much enjoyed ourselves. I loved looking out at the lake. We spent a good amount of time in the lake and the kids loved it! My dad lives in Manchester so it was very easy to access. I loved how close mini golf/driving range is...towards Manchester. We enjoyed Highland Park Market, Charter Oak Park, Georgina's, Mini Golf, Munson's and more! I would stay again...so would the kids. BTW my son was able to get on youtube on tv immediately. Although he did not watch much TV, it was comforting knowing it was available. Great spot.
We are chasing the grandchildren. We sold our NY home to be closer to them. As we do our new home search we are staycationing on Bolton Lake in a great little home. Our house has been very accommodating and the home is very well equipped with everything you need. Just bring your suitcase. You will love gazing out the living room windows out on to the beautiful lake in winter.
Great location. Safe and comfortable for our family. Three adults and two young children. Great to have two full bathrooms and great WiFi and air conditioning. Well appointed and welcoming.
Relaxing , clean, very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable.
Enjoyed our stay, beautiful views of lake, swimming was great, however there needs to be steps or a ladder to access water other than the dock, especially for older guests
Clean, great set up. Loved being on the water! Just as described. The cottage is on a busy road, but very relaxing and comfortable. We would stay there again.
