Northern Michigan Adventure

The property is very remote, several miles outside of Gaylord, but for us, that was part of the appeal. The rental offers plenty of room for a large family or group, with 5 beds (3 in the kids rooms), as well as a pull out sofa in the living room and a comfy sectional that could work as a bed in the huge rec room. Our son especially loved this area, with a big tv, video games and comfy seating. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. And, the fire pit was so nice at night, surrounded by quiet woods. Best of all, the area is an hour or so from Mackinaw City, Traverse City, Petoskey and not much further to Sleeping Bear Dunes. All in all, it was a great up north experience. The host was super quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definately stay again.

Perfect Vacation Home!

Our family couldn’t have been happier with this house! The location was so quiet and private. In fact, pretty much the only traffic we had during our stay was the mail truck each day. Everything we needed was already thought of accommodation wise and the host is extremely responsive. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to the area.

Great house, but plan on shoveling to get in the driveway

We arrived in the middle of a snow storm. We appreciated Matt allowing us to arrive early during the weather. We did not expect to have to shovel heavy snow to get into the property.

Great Up North Getaway

The house was a perfect size and layout for our family of 5. Kids loved going to the clubhouse pool! Property owner was great to book through and always communicated promptly back. Would love to come back again!

Great family getaway

We had a fantastic stay! The house had everything we needed and true to the description and pictures. It was very family friendly with a big table for everyone to eat at and the kids loved the game room! We aren’t skiers but we did enjoy winter walks, sledding down the hill on the side of the house, a winter bonfire, a sleigh ride at Cook Family Farm and lots of time at the pool. We had great communication with Matt, who was very quick to respond with any questions we had. We would love to go back!

Great cabin in the woods!

My sister, her family and mine enjoyed this winter wonderland for four nights! We rented snowmobiles locally and even though there wasn’t much fresh powder, we still enjoyed the trails! The house was warm and welcoming for the 7 of us! The kitchen was well equipped. If anything, the beds could have been more comfortable but I’m spoiled at home so they were probably just adequate!

Winter getaway

Our family of 7, grandparents, parents & grandkids enjoyed swimming and skiing. The house was comfortable and well equipped for our 4 nights. Improvements would be a new dishwasher and a better mattress in the queen bedroom upstairs.

Great trip

The house was perfect for our trip. The kids got to sled in the front yard., and enjoy the pool at the clubhouse. The home was well stocked. We also enjoyed snowboarding at Tree tops while we were there. It was a great family trip.

What a Wonderful Property

We have traveled and rented many places. One was a horror while many were good. But, this property was WONDERFUL! 1. Well stocked 2. Peaceful 3. Great communication 4. Full lists of places you may need in an emergency( Doctors, Dentists, and Vets for your pets) 5. Nearby great shopping 6. Great decor 7. Nature 8. Quiet We felt relaxed and at ease the whole time there and are looking forward to next years Anniversary trip which has already been booked.

Would stay here again!

Very comfortable home & kitchen has all you need. Dog & kid friendly and close to various attractions. Enjoyed using the heated indoor pool, Pencil Lake beach, & Lake Harold beach & their 3 playgrounds as we had a 5 & 2 y.o. with us. Nice deck, but needs more seat cushions & some need replacement. Patio screen door needs a gentle touch as it easily jumps the track. Great firepit. Enjoyed the privacy in the woods. Heard loons, coyotes, & owls late at night!

Home away from home

This house is truly a home. I was worried about feeling both comfortable and safe but we definitely felt both. The beach is so nice and helps alot when you have kids that range from 3 to 16! There was something fun for all of us. The kids ran around in the yard and we enjoyed the deck furniture to sit and ponder life. Thanks again!

Really enjoyed our stay in this home. Lots of space to relax. Snowmobiling-wish the groomers had been out more. It was a bit bumpy! rode to the Hideaway and had the best burger ever!
