Welcome to your artist's studio turned guest house just outside the city of Santa Fe!
Park under the covered carport and private patio with a table, chairs, chaise lounges and bbq. Relax and unwind in your home away from home with ping pong, foosball, cozy couches, comfy beds and views and hikes onto the high desert right behind the guest house. Prepare meals in your full kitchen, lounge and relax in the main room downstairs and the living room upstairs. Luxuriate in your spacious black slate bathroom with jetted tub and steam shower or rest/sleep on either of the queen beds or three twins. If you must work, there's a large oak desk for you upstairs also with views out to the stunning open land. The guest house is attached to the main house on the opposite end of the building by sound proof walls. We plan to be traveling for most/all of the time when we rent the guest house.

About the host
Your host
We're a retired couple -- Robert from bookbinding/woodworking and Lisa from public school teaching. Robert is a native New Mexican though he and Lisa have both lived and traveled throughout the US and abroad. We like to visit our kids/grandkids for a few months at a time and renting our place while we're away is a great way to share a space we love so much with others.
Why they chose this property
We love our neighbors who also appreciate the peace and tranquillity of living out in nature but also close to a vibrant and unique little city. We often meet our neighbors on the trails out back and leave each other treats in our mailboxes and on our gates.
What makes this property unique
Though most of the properties here are adobe-style, our home and its studio were built in 2007 by a sculptor who loved modern spaces. The guest house and home (with shared sound-proofed walls) are in a steel building with concrete floors and large glass windows that look out on to the open land. The views behind us are always changing and it's both stimulating and relaxing to watch the vegetation, wildlife, clouds, sun and stars .
