Perfect Getaway Near Letchworth State Park
We had an absolutely amazing stay! The place was spotless, and the attention to detail was incredible. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need, including top-notch coffee makers that made mornings delightful. The yard was perfect for relaxing by the fire, and the proximity to Letchworth State Park (just a 1-minute drive away) made it easy to explore the stunning surroundings. One of my favorite things about this place was the abundance of amenities—there were dozens of board games to keep us entertained, and really, there's way too much to list. This will definitely be a spot I return to several times a year. Highly recommend!

Perfext for families!
We had the best 4 night stay recently! We stayed with our two children, ages 1 and 7. We had some communication while booking the property, and the home was prepared perfectly for our stay. There was the sweetest welcome basket and message on the large chalkboard that felt like such a nice personal touch. Bethany stopped by the first morning to greet us. She was so pleasant and it was great to hear about the history and love put into creating this space for travelers. The family has some future plans, and I’m sure they will be the perfect additions. We were delighted to have many baby accessories (a pack and play, bath toys, high chair, and even kitchen essentials) available for us to use during our stay. I even noticed a stroller in the closet! That was so convenient. Our 7 year old was so excited by the games that were obviously carefully picked for our stay. There were games we love, and we also discovered some new favorites! My daughter loved playing with everything. Board games, foosball, and drawing on the huge chalkboard! The game theming through the house was highly appreciated by me. I loved all of the small details throughout the house. The scrabble room, the Clue room, and the Trivial Pursuit themed bathroom were all perfectly decorated with colors and access that matched in some way. The beds were very comfortable, all linens were clean and fresh. We will absolutely be returning to enjoy this space again.

Mt Morris Getaway
The property was well appointed with a fully supplied kitchen for cooking and eating. The coffee bar included Keurig, traditional coffee maker, espresso machine, and tea. All of the appliances are new. The theme of games was nostalgic and every detail enhanced the theme. The beds were very comfortable and parking was right at the front door. The surrounding area was peaceful and close to nature. There were many thoughtful touches such as having an annual pass into Letchworth State Park, notebook with details about home and local restaurants and activities. The host supplied a welcome basket with snacks, a personal note and there was even fresh fruit and bottled water to greet us after a full days travel. Overall this property was a good experience.

Best stay ever
The place is immaculate and equipped with everything you need and then some. We had a small group but there is plenty of parking if needed. What a fun themed house. Perfect for game playing and also just to relax. The fire pit was nice on the cooler evening. Coffee lovers delight too. Super close to Letchworth park which is amazing. The property itself offers areas to hike. We definitely will be back. Thanks to our hosts

We always wanted to have a place people could come to be refreshed and relax. This home has been made by a husband, wife and 7 kids working hard with many many other people to make it a reality for you.

The husband restores old windows for a living and the wife and kids care for The Hub and try and make it a great place for you. This is something we all care a lot about - you.

Why they chose this property

We loved eating at Brians USA Diner and noticed an abandoned house and land beside it that was steadily breaking down into nothing and we wondered if maybe we could help make it into something great for the community again?

Then we learned more about the Hubbard Family...
... Back in the day the Hubbard family were local dairy farmers. They had a dream of running a great family restaurant and building their dream home on 5 acres right beside their Diner...and that's just what they did...

They were known from all around as people that were excellent at serving others and the best family place that everyone would come to for great food, fun and fellowship - a Hub.

So we named this place in their honor - both as the Hubbard Family and also to continue their tradition - from the beautiful flowers to the service with a smile for many people and travelers from all around this great land - The Hub.

After the time of Mr. & Mrs. Hubbard the family sold the property into two separate parts, the "Loaf and Tree" restaurant was sold to their cook named Brian, hence "Brians USA Diner". Mr. & Mrs. Hubbards dream ranch, five acres and detached shop was sold also, but the memories everyone enjoyed for decades have continued to live on.

The couple that bought the home plot took care of and improved the property and then unfortunately fell on hard times and eventually the 5530 house, shop and property was left abandoned for some time and was in danger of being a ruin and demolished. With grass and weeds hip high, and the house tore apart and in need of major repairs a husband and wife and their 7 kids from a nearby village decided to tackle this challenge.

With many many peoples help, a ton of hard, and a very special thanks to their parents also! After 1.5 years of working whenever possible - nights, weekends, when money was available, when money wasn't available :) The family of Brandon & Bethany & kids opened “The Hub” for others to benefit from and enjoy!

What makes this property unique

The property is a very nice 2 BR home with full kitchen, dining, family room, 5 acres, great views, hiking, fire pit, close to Letchworth, Geneseo, Mount Morris, but the creative board game theme woven through the home is definitely a unique feature that makes an otherwise great house - have some creative fun to enjoy also.

Also, as mentioned above, the 5 acre property includes a shop. This was also rescued and rebuilt with the thought of it being a future home of the family's Old Window Company that restores old windows. The thought is that during the day it would operate quietly out of the way of guests, but also be available for classes, workshops, and tours for guests that would enjoy diving into the lost art of restoring old single pane wavy glass windows typically built before 1945.

This is our family run business, The Old Window Company. During business hours of some days in the future Brandon; and a daughter, Laney will be in the shop busy restoring old windows from area houses from this part of NY and beyond. Replacing old wavy glass, knifing in the old glazing putty, painting & more.

Also in the future we hope to add more creative places to stay, like a triple decker night bus, hobbit hole, Weasley's house called the burrow, a swimming pool made inside of a city bus in the back yard, wedding reception and events in a large tent in the back yard, a yurt, tree house, camp bath house and more.

Also we can't wait to finish the basement with Chutes and Ladders triple adult size bunk beds and slides, movie theater, pool table room, and another Master Bedroom and Master Bathroom with a Chess theme. Just dreaming with you here, forgive us we are excited to make more fun and relaxing places for you to enjoy.

Thank you so much for reading and we hope to do our best for you just as Mr. & Mrs. Hubbard would want.
