House Notes
• Heating & Cooling: The home has a brand new forced air furnace and a brand new central A/C system.  Please note, though, that one of the quirks of this 1897 home is that a good portion of the second floor is gravity-fed from the first-floor through the open-air / pass-through vents on the floor.  Feel free to adjust the temperature until you're comfortable.  We also have plenty of extra blankets for the winter and ceiling fans as well as pedestal fans in the closets for the summer.  We always find it easy to get comfy, and we hope you do too!

• Windows: Another quirk of our lovely old farmhouse is the windows.  Most are quite old, and they get cranky when opened and sometimes do not like to fully close.  As such, we appreciate it if you can refrain from opening the windows.  Even in the thick of summer, the house generally stays cool.  As described above, with central A/C, a new furnace, ceiling fans, pedestal fans, and extra blankets available, you should be able to stay plenty comfortable without opening the windows.

Perfect Location for a Weekend Up North

Location was ideal for our group who was in the area for a ski race. Accommodations were very well thought out… from the coffee station, kitchen utensils, games, bathroom products. Highly recommended.

Ski weekend

We recently stayed at this VRBO property for two nights , and it was absolutely perfect! The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms were comfortable with cozy bedding. We appreciated the spacious fully-equipped kitchen, which made cooking meals easy. Very convenient to downtown and only a short ride to the ski hill. We would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone.

Ski weekend

It was very clean and in great shape. It’s an old farmhouse so it creaks like one would expect an old farmhouse to do when walking around. If that bothers you, that’s something for you to take into account. It’s only around 10 minutes from Schuss ski slopes.

Torch Lake Getaway

We were very impressed and happy with our choice to stay in Bellaire at the farmhouse. There were 7 adults in our group. Everything from the location to the personal details and decor was amazing. We loved everything about it and it is exactly how it is pictured just beautiful. The host Brian is very easy to communicate with and is extremely helpful. We would definitely go back again.
