About this property
Seaview, panoramic sea and headland views, St Ives
Seaview is situated on the very edge of St Ives, close to Clodgy Point. Enjoy vast sea views with a complimentary Prosecco cream tea on arrival. On clear days the coastline from St Ives to Trevose Head, near Padstow is visible. It is a fully self contained apartment with ample parking, above Carnello Farm, a family home. Carnello Farm is not a working farm but has 9 acres of green fields and hedgerows stretching to the coastal path to which there is direct gated access.
Seaview has a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen on the ground floor and a large open plan living, dining and single bed area on the upper floor where there are fabulous panoramic coastal views.
The access lane is narrow and uneven. If you have a vehicle bigger than a transit/Vivaro long wheelbase van or a vehicle which has particularly low suspension then vehicular access to the property will be very difficult.
One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great restaurants. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach.
With direct access to the coastal path from the apartment Porthmeor Beach is a short stroll away, as is Porthgwidden Beach. A short drive to other nearby beaches include Godrevy, Porthkidney and Carbis Bay.
St Ives Surf School offers sessions for surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering. And St Ives Boat Trips run sea-life safaris to see the local dolphins and seals!
Keen walkers can ramble along the coastal path westwards and experience the beautiful, rugged north Cornwall coastline maybe stopping off for a pub lunch at The Tinners, in Zennor. There is an open top bus that takes you around the whole of the Cape Cornwall peninsula so if you don’t fancy the walk back hop on a bus instead.
St Ives is a great base to explore other parts of Cornwall. You can also book ferries for day trips to the Scilly Isles from Penzance (only a 20 minute drive away).
