About this property
#2 Distiller's Guest House
This historic, centrally located gem is in the heart of the quaint and desirable South Frankfort. We are a few blocks in either direction from the State Capitol and downtown Frankfort.
Frankfort, Kentucky, the capital of our fine state, is located in-between the major metropolitan cities of Louisville and Lexington. South Frankfort specifically is a desirable area among travelers because our quaint, fun downtown is full of amazing restaurants, bars, shops and sites. This short term rental apartment is located on a street directly in between, and in walking distance of the new state capital and the downtown area chocked full of historical buildings/sites, museums and attractions. This particular building is approx. 1.7 miles/7 minute drive away from the Buffalo Trace distillery. Our quiet tree lined streets are safe to walk to and from downtown, and leisure strolls around the new state capital are a must, seeing as this spot is only 2 blocks away.
This building has 10 short term rentals that are accessed through an outside door (with keyless code entry that is only shared with guests). Each short term rental has their own inside entry door as well (with separate keyless entry codes), that include their own fully stocked bathroom and kitchen. In addition, there is a sitting area between floors, which allows guests to meet and interact with each other outside of their sleeping areas if they choose. There is also a well lit, safe basement area that has coin/quarter laundry machines for guest use.
This 1930's era brick building has been stylishly renovated with an eye to historic preservation. It houses ten well-appointed monthly rental units that are perfect for legislators, government contractors, digital nomads, those on temporary assignment and true lovers of the bourbon trail. Distiller's Guest House is your home from home.
This one-bedroom apartment has a separate living room. The bedroom features a king-sized bed with fluffy linens. The art-deco style bathroom is stocked with hotel-quality towels. The freshly remodeled kitchen has all of the essentials you need to feel at home.
If you are booking for a larger family or friend group, consider renting neighboring units in our building. You can have group adventures and then recharge in your own private spaces.

Frankfort, the capital city of Kentucky, is located in-between the major metropolitan cities of Louisville and Lexington. South Frankfort is desired by travelers because our quaint, fun downtown is full of locally-owned restaurants, bars, shops, museums and historic sites. Stroll quiet, tree-lined streets to the State Capitol, the Governor's Mansion and the Kentucky Flower Clock. Then walk across the scenic Capitol Avenue Bridge to enjoy a meal and tasting at Bourbon on Main with its view of the State Capitol.
For those who prefer to drive, you can easily access downtown Frankfort or the Capitol by car. We are 1.7 miles/~7 minute drive away from the Buffalo Trace distillery. We are centrally located, allowing quick access to two major interstates: I-64 and I-75. Or you can drive through the rolling hills of horse country on roads like Old Frankfort Pike. We also have a city bus system and many bourbon trail companies that offer tours.
We will be down the street during your stay. We are eager to answer any of your questions. We look forward to welcoming you.
