About this property

Lakefront Cottage Oasis

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A lakefront oasis, with the Brazos River across the street. Go fishing in the lake from the backyard dock, or launch a boat into the river at the boat ramp up the street. Roast marshmallows around the fire pit, cook burgers on the gas/charcoal grill, and dine on your outdoor dinner table. Later, enjoy a glass of wine at sunset on the covered deck or on the shaded bench by the dock. Located just 9.5 miles from the beautiful Granbury town square.

Welcome to the “Keepin’ It Reel Cottage” oasis on the Lake. Your cottage is equipped with WiFi, and the smart TV allows you to stream your favorite shows. Go for a cruise in the two-person pedal boat, or row away in the inflatable kayak. As your host, my goal is to ensure you have a wonderful and memorable stay.

You have access to all the areas of the property, including the fire pit, and floating dock. Feel free to fish along the property’s lake shoreline and dock, or in the river from the community park pier up the street. Wood for the fire pit is available next to the shed behind your cottage, fire starter blocks and lighters are available in your cottage, and marshmallow roasting skewers are on your gas grill. Cornhole boards and bags are available for you to play, an axe throwing station, as well as a two-person pedal boat and an inflatable kayak for paddling on the water. If you need additional space, check out my “Catch N’ Relax Cabin” tiny house listing right next door.

Pets must be hypoallergenic and under 20 pounds.

Off street parking is very convenient on your private covered driveway. If you wish to bring your boat, trailer parking is available on the oversized covered driveway, or next to the park and boat ramp up the street. A gate code for access to the ramp will be provided upon request.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay and we were very impressed with the house. It looks like they just finished construction. And they didn't do it on the cheap like other rentals I've seen. The covered parking attached to the patio means you don't get wet coming and going in the rain. The outdoor patio furniture looked high end. Again, much better than other rentals I've seen. Even the bath towels we soft and comfy. This is a prime location if you like thhe outdoors or plan on using the lake or river. House is in a marshy area of the lake, and the river is right across the street. You can see it through the neighbors yards. The host, Alan, made sure I was always informed and was very responsive when I reached out. He knew it was our anniversary and left us a little gift. Thank you Alan! I would definitely rent this property, or another property from Alan.

Peaceful stay

We stayed Fri-Sun. Communication was super fast & just excellent! We were going to see Cody Johnson in Arlington and this was a last minute stay & they were very prompt. We were a little nervous as we got closer to the property because the surrounding homes are a bit run down and the streets are pretty rough and muddy. However, once we arrived, it was probably the nicest place (along with the tiny home next door) on the street. So dont let it fool you! It was so quiet and peaceful, the lake is right off the back patio and the neighbors were never seen, our three days there. There were a few snacks on the counter and in the cabinet, movies, smart tv, books, and a notebook with suggestions for your stay. The couch and queen bed were both very comfortable. Closet was a great size. There were a few towels, wash cloths, blow dryer, and toiletries in the home for your use if need be, which we did not, but it was a nice touch. My husband is a neat freak when it comes to his clothes, and there was not an iron and we forgot to grab ours, so we did have to make a walmart run for that. Only other heads up, the ice maker nor the water dispenser on the fridge work, and the freezer drawer would not open. So I suggest you do take a cooler/ice chest with ice. All in all, it was a great stay and we are already planning another trip, but would like to try the tiny home next time! Def go have breakfast at Mary's Brazos cafe! I felt like my mom had made me breakfast, it was great!
