Cool house in great location at a good value
This was a very interesting rental and we were pleased overall for what we got for the price. We were a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 kids ages 12-17 and we hate big crowds so this was perfect.Pros:-Spacious: tons of room to spread out-Cool architecture and decor: lots of Spanish tile, brick, traditional artwork, indoor fountain, gorgeous!-Air conditioners in every room-Location is amazing! short walk to a couple restaurants, mercado and supplies. Short drive/Taxi to everything-Neighborhood is nice and quiet 1 block off main road. No issues with safety nor late night partiers. -House manager Ro was very responsive and gave some nice tips on local activities-Pool was great, lots of sun exposureCons:-Very old house which means problematic plumbing and electrical. Showers leaked, some outlets didn't work, pool missing drain cover, etc.-WiFi is poor, works in about 1/2 the house but cell reception with Verizon was great.-Not toddler/infant friendly, I wouldn't want small hands around the electrical & pool-Only 1 TV with Roku player which had spotty WiFi - don't plan on watching much TV, if any.-No walkable beach access: Plan on having a car or taking Taxis to hit beaches, shopping, excursions, etc.-Kitchen is usable but don't plan on cooking a lot, just has the essentials.Overall, I recommend and would stay again. Hard to beat that location at that price. I recommend renting a car - they are cheap and it makes getting around so much easier vs taxis.
