*We are finally back! Our son and family have moved into their new home after the 2017 Tubbs fire.

Freshly updated two bedroom cottage attached to the main house. Cottage includes full kitchen and bath, granite counter tops, tile and hardwood floors. Located in a quiet, country neighborhood with surrounding vineyards.

Stay inside and enjoy access to wireless internet, HD TVs, a cabinet of board games or let the kids go outside and play on the large lawns. Cottage includes full kitchen, dining, living room, bath with washer & dryer, master bedroom with king bed, guest room with king bed, queen sofa bed, keyless front door.

Full access to a beautifully landscaped property with more than fifty rose bushes.

Within less than 3.5 miles you will find 8 wineries as we are located in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley wine region.

- 15 min to Armstrong Woods – take a leisurely walk through majestic giant redwoods
- 20 min to Korbel Champagne Tasting Room
- 10 min to Kendall Jackson Winery
- 20 Min to Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley wine region and 45 minutes to Napa
- 22 miles to Bodega Bay’s sandy beaches and dunes
- Bicycle enthusiasts will find that the cottage is a perfect launching point for riding through the wine country as we are located just a mile off Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo route.
- At the edge of the property a pathway meanders through more than 100 acres of neighboring vineyards, perfect for an evening stroll, sit along the vineyard reservoir and watch the sunset. (sorry closed due to Covid-19)
- For an elegant meal you can make a reservation and head a minute down the road to the highly rated Walter Hansel Wine & Bistro, the Barlow in Sebastopol is great for restaurants, wine tasting and outdoor shops or for a casual meal head a few minutes into town for a Taqueria or maybe stop at Simply Vietnam.

Country Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage for a girls' getaway! It was comfortable and quiet, and perfect for our needs. The only hiccup was a power/water outage for a few hours our first night, which was completely beyond anyone's control. When I texted the owners to report it, they responded immediately and followed up with PG&E.We can't wait to go back!

I lived in Sonoma Co for years several years ago and have returned many times. I found this neighborhood, in a great location, new to me though I have driven by. It's a neighborhood of ranchettes and the No Outlet road makes for a nice walk. The facilities were comfortable and clean. We were very happy with it. We did have some trouble checking in because of very weak signals (had to drive back to starbucks to get internet). VRBO confessed they were having trouble at the time, though I would recommend downloading any available msgs prior to getting to the house. Internet in the house was fine. Thanks for having us!

Excellent stay
We have been coming to the area for several years when we come to visit our son. This was the best rental we have stayed in. Very comfortable accommodations and great location. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, as was the bathroom. Beautiful, quiet location, yet near shopping, and all the area has to offer. We will be back!

Wonderful place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay tremendously and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The cottage is located just out of town so it’s quiet and peaceful with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It nestled right up next to a Vineyard. Everything was perfect.

A great place to acclimatise after 8 hour time change
This is a lovely homely place with all amenities that we needed to get over the 8 hour time change from the UK and prepare ourselves for our 4000 mile road trip to Canada and back over the next 4 weeks. We stayed here 2 years ago to do exactly the same thing and had no hesitation in coming back again.

A lovely country feel cottage that is only a short drive into town. The house was comfortable, equipped with kitchen necessities and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The water was hot and the air conditioning was cold. Perfect. We will try to go back.

Serene and convenient
Only 30ish minutes from Armstrong Redwoods, hikes near Bodega Bay, and the family events we needed to get to. The place was bright, well appointed, and peaceful on a lovely, quiet street. The mattresses are on the softer side, but we like that. I booked months in advance and every question I had before arriving was quickly answered. The house was perfect for us.

I was looking for a property to rent due to the death of my brother-in-law. I contacted Lynn, informed her of my sutuation, and she graciously agreed to hold the property for a couple of days so I could determine who was staying with us. The property and the surroundings are beautiful. It's quiet and peaceful. The unit is also very nice, clean, and tastefully decorated. It has all the amenities you would ever need. It's perfect. I know I will be back.

Great place!
Sunny View Cottage is comfortable, well-equipped, and charming. The location is quiet and rural but very close to great wineries, restaurants (we loved Walter Hansel’s Bistro, just around the corner), and hiking/biking trails. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Why they chose this property

We built this property and subsequently added on in stages with the final being the attached granny unit (the cottage). The cottage was originally built for Rogers mother and she lived here for 16 happy years. She passed away at 96 years old. We decided to offer the cottage for vacation rentals and we are so happy we did! Mom would be so happy to know that her beautiful home is being enjoyed by guests all around the world!
