If you love downtown Houston, stay here!!

The property was very close to Montrose which we frequent, and the highway to get anywhere and everywhere. The stay was well furnished for our needs, and very comfortable. The only thing is the bedrooms are small and the sinks offer little counter space so you might struggle if you're plus-sized or sharing with others for more than a weekend. The best part to me was the private, gated parking and porch. Great host! Very attentive and thorough. Would recommend again and again. Will be back next visit to the H.

Beautiful restored home. Great bottom unit of old home in an old neighborhood. Close to lots of places. Beds were clean and comfortable. Neighborhood traffic was noisy at times but guests/tenants in upstairs unit were very quiet. Parking and home amenities were great.

If safety is a priority….

This home is gorgeous but the neighborhood is not. The area is loud with traffic and planes. As well as neighbors fighting in the street. We had to move from this location mid way to feel safe. Owner was nice and helpful.

Little slice of Paradise!

We came to Texas for a wedding. This property was centrally located which made life easier during our stay. We enjoyed the aesthetic touches throughout the house ❤️ Our teenage son loved having his own room/bathroom. We were able to enjoy the nice weather on the back porch when we weren’t busy exploring. Close to Hermann Park

We enjoyed our one week stay at this property. The apartment is very aesthetically done and it was close to the museums, zoo located at Hermann park. The place is just off the freeway. My family and I will be sure to return to this property on our next trip to Houston.

Very spacious, quiet neighborhood.

It is a unique old home that's been restored with modern appliances, bath, etc. The Uber driver's were at the door within 5 minutes of notifying them. A car would be helpful, although parking could be expensive at many locations.

The Best Place close to EVERYTHING

This place is amazing to start with, centrally located to the Museum District, Hospital District, U of H, bars and restaurants. Very nice old house with wood floors and built ins. Lots of modern upgrades that kept the old house feel. I will for sure stay here again.

Very helpful owner

I can’t say enough good things about this property manager. We had several strange situations and he was immediately responsive and helpful every time. We stayed in this home for two weeks while my husband was getting treatment from MD Anderson. The house was clean and the neighborhood felt safe. Less than ten minutes to MD Anderson without getting on the highway. I will stay here again if we need to return.

Nice home

Overall, the property was nice, clean. A rain shower passed through shortly before my arrival and it caused some of the driveway to puddle and leaves to fall, but otherwise was nice. Area can be a bit loud at night with cars passing by and loud music, parking enforcement out on both nights ticketing and towing vehicles who were illegally parked. Overall nice stay, location is what i needed and would stay again.

Jaa was very accommodating. We mistakingly booked this location for a lack of knowing it was too far from my sister’s place. We asked to shorten our stay in order to be closer and he was very accommodating and helpful with tips about the area. The house was very comfortable and clean. My son felt very at home.

super clean, beautiful home in historic Houston neighborhood

So conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. The house is beautifully restored yet still modern inside, gated off-street parking, in a neighborhood with gorgeous older homes. There is no better host than a Southern gentleman, and Jaa is a terrific and thoughtful one. This is a shady, tree-lined street in an urban neighborhood in one of the biggest cities in the US--it will never be as quiet as a rural or suburban area, but it is pretty peaceful and quiet for a city street. Will definitely recommend and return.

Everything you could ask for and more!

The Belle Vie at St. Julien Place provides wonderful accommodations! The home is exactly as advertised--beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, functional (with all needed amenities) and safe (the gated entrance is a wonderful feature). My mother, sister, daughter, and I were attending a conference at the George R. Brown Convention center, and we wanted a centrally located rental which would make getting to and from downtown and the convention center convenient. The Belle Vie was the perfect location. More importantly, the owner was extremely responsive and attentive to our needs. Without prompting, he reached out to us to inquire if we were enjoying our stay and if we needed any assistance navigating the city, finding activities, or restaurants. We would definitely stay in this home again. We couldn't have had a better host. If you are coming to Houston, this is the place to stay. Thank you, Jaa!

Why they chose this property

The Belle Vie is an upper-level two-bedroom flat with a contemporary chic ambiance. The building is a renovated 1930's historic home with original wood trim & floors, divided into two completely separate duplex apartments, one up and one down (this is the DOWNSTAIRS unit). Duplexes are very common for this part of the city. They are like separate condos. The house has a securely gated driveway entrance to the parking area in the backyard with key code access and is on a tree-lined street. The off-street private parking space fits four automobiles (two per duplex apartment).

This home is centrally located very close to Texas Medical Center, MD Anderson, and Downtown in the historic residential neighborhood of Riverside Terrace bordering the Museum District area. It is known for being surrounded by higher learning and prestigious universities, art centers, museums, and cultural locations. There is a beautiful golf course at Hermann park less than a mile away for all golf enthusiasts. Hermann Park is a 445-acre urban park, which also includes the Houston Zoo, the Centennial Gardens, the Japanese Gardens, the Marvin Taylor biking and running trail, reflection pool, picnic areas, McGovern Lake, Boat Lagoon, and Miller Outdoor Theater. All major stadiums are also within a 3-mile radius (NRG Stadium, BBVA Compass Bank Stadium, Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center).

What makes this property unique

The morning is filled with a quiet breeze, chirping birds, and an invitation for leisure. You can ride a bike to the best parks, theaters, museums, and cafes. The golf course is less than a mile away! The main highway access is two blocks from the house.
