Enjoy the cool, ocean breeze from a rocking chair on the screened in porch. Or, take advantage of the newly renovated kitchen and whip up a meal to enjoy in a dining room with breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Whatever you choose, you are sure to find comfort, joy and relaxation in this charming seaside home.

This home offers 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with twin bunk beds) as well as a sleeping alcove with a twin sized daybed and a twin sized trundle bed. The house also has 2 full bathrooms, each renovated from top to bottom in the winter of 2016. The new kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a full sized washer and dryer to ensure that you have all of the comforts of home on hand.

Park your car in one of the many private spots reserved for you and take a 3 minute stroll to the beach or into the quaint seaside town of York Beach. Restaurants, shops, York's Wild Kingdom (zoo and amusement park) and an ice cream cone await you!

We have a pack-n-play with a changing station available, as well as a child's booster seat for feeding. The kitchen is stocked with children's sized dinnerware, cups and cutlery. We also have a selection of children's books, puzzles and games on hand, for your use.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The house is lovely, clean, has excellent views of the ocean, and is in a great location close to the beach and town. The kitchen is well equipped with great new appliances, and the dining room table accommodated our group of 7 well. We also appreciated having games, puzzles, towels, boogie boards, and chairs for the beach. All in all, this was a great place to stay!

Worth it.

Great views and a big yard which is hard to come by ocean front. Close to town so the kids could bike or walk in which was great. Would definitely stay there again.

The view was amazing, beautiful Maine coast, breaking waves and the feel of vacation. The location is perfect, walkable to the beach and town. Great restaurants just a short drive, Cliff House, Walkers are perfect for dinner. Lorena's Empanadas is a great choice for lunch or takeout.

Relaxing retreat

What an amazing location! Quiet and serene with breathtaking views of the ocean, yet a quick walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The hosts provide great amenities for adults as well as children. The interior is comfortable and very inviting with calming seaside colors and decor.

Ten out of Ten

Megan has created the perfect house for a relaxing, stress free beach vacation. As soon as we parked our car, before we entered the house, we had to go sit on the chairs overlooking the ocean and we all breathed a sigh of contentment. I knew where I was going to spend time with my cups of tea and my book ( and an evening glass of wine!) Going inside we were even more happy with the whole set up. The house is spacious, and the paint colors of the rooms are so calming and peaceful. The furniture is nice and comfortable, including the beds, and the rooms stayed nice and cool. Megan provided everything and beyond for a worry free stay. We hardly went to the beach as we loved sitting reading and enjoying the ocean views from the front porch and the outside chairs, but Megan has made sure that everything you need for a beach day (chairs, toys ,boards etc.)is on hand. The walk downtown is an easy one and we loved getting ice cream each night to finish up our day. To quote my husband just before we closed the door to get in our car to return home to Ohio " I just don't want to leave this place!" I am so glad we chose this home to rent and that Megan is generous enough to share it . Many, many thanks!

Ideal York Beach Home

Not only is the view from this property absolutely incredible but the proximity to Short Sands and shops/restaurants cannot be beat. Such an easy (and beautiful) walk! The home was lovely, comfortable and perfectly laid out for our family including 3 small kids. The hosts were communicative and helpful. We've stayed in various locations around York and this was by far our favorite home and location. Highly recommended.

Wonderful house, view, location

The best rental experience we’ve had by far. The house is beautiful and contains everything you need for the stay. The view of the water is stunning, and sitting out in the Adirondack chairs visiting or reading was the highlight of the trip. A quick walk to Small Sands beach (or drive if you’re carrying lots of stuff), restaurants, shops, the zoo, this was the perfect location for us and our three year old and elderly parents. Megan was extremely responsive and helpful. We plan to come back next year if there’s availability!

Love the View!

What a beautiful spot this was!! This house is very comfortable and has the perfect updates to the kitchen and bathrooms. We were two couples in our 60's, and just loved enjoying our happy hour each day on the adirondack chairs overlooking Short Sands Beach. Megan was very attentive- texting us to make sure everything was to our liking. We had no issues what so ever with the house. It is a very short walk to the shops and beach, and very convenient to Rt 1 for our drives to Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Great Home in a Great Beach Town

5 stars isn’t enough for this house. The location is perfect; less than a 5 minute walk from Short Sands Beach and the York Beach shops and restaurants. The view from the yard is spectacular, even better than what is captured in the pictures here. Megan was incredibly responsive with all communications and called to check in on us the day after we arrived to make sure everything was to our satisfaction…and it absolutely was. This is a great home in my family’s favorite beach town.

This is a great house that’s accurately pictured and described. Hosts were very communicative and helpful. House is well stocked and comfortable. Best part is the private lawn with water’s edge chairs and view of town. Easy walk for ice cream or lunch and easy drive to local amenities including spa, salon, fishing. First trip since COVID

After a year at home, we wanted to get away for the kids' Spring Break. It is pre-season in Maine, but we wanted to have a change of scenery but still avoid crowds and large tourist attractions. This cottage was a great home base for us. Beautiful view. We were able to walk to the nearby beach and Nubble lighthouse and have the kids put their toes in the water and hunt for shells. We made day trips to Portland, as well as to Dover, NH, to visit their Childrens' Museum (appt only with excellent infection control protocols), and to Concord, NH, to the McAuliffe Space Discovery Center (also appt only with good infection control protocols. We also explored more locally, visiting Mount Agamenticus, walking the Marginal Way on the waterfront in Olgunquit, visiting the Monastery in Kennebunkport and walking around town, driving by the Bush compound, etc. We stuck to takeout dinners and had a beautiful view from the dinette table in the cottage, and had the lobster tools available for our takeout lobsters! The cottage was comfortable for downtime in between activities, relaxing out on the lawn or in the family room. The kids were thrilled with bunk beds! The cottage had nice updated bathrooms but a great old beachy New England feel. We had more than enough room for our family of four. We would definitely stay here again and would look forward to coming back in the Summer season when there are more restaurants and businesses open.

Beautiful Seaside Escape

We had a wonderful experience staying at Megan and Brad’s home. It was the perfect getaway for a long holiday weekend. The house is beautiful and cozy, with spectacular views of the ocean. We felt very much at home. Highly recommended.

Super house, super location

The listing pictures are accurate: Oceanfront atop a rocky bluff, with the beach visible and a 3 minute walk. Recently redone kitchen and baths are gorgeous. The house is well maintained and well appointed. Restaurants and small shops are a quick walk and downtown York, Kittery and Ogunquit are a 10-15 minute drive. The owners are very commutative and care about your stay. The best recommendation we can give is we are already planning to return next year!

A beautiful house in a perfect spot!

We had a lovely week in this fantastic house overlooking the water in Cape Neddick. The house is really beautiful - nicely decorated and renovated in the places where updates are appreciated (kitchen, bathrooms) - while retaining lots of charm and historic details. The whole house is oriented towards the amazing view of the ocean, which you can see from all three bedrooms, the great room (open concept living room and dining area), and the cute screened porch, which catches great breezes. There are other houses quite close by (it's a cozy and friendly community, but we also found it to be quiet and peaceful) but you don't really feel hemmed in because of the prominence of the open view across the lawn equipped with Adirondack chairs. The other great thing about the location (besides the spectacular view) is that it's just a few minutes walking distance into the cute town of York Beach, which means you can easily walk to the beach, restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee houses, shops, etc. Our teenage son really appreciated the freedom to do some of these things independently without us all having to get into the car. The area has lots of see and do in terms of attractions, lots of opportunities for great walks (try the spectacular Marginal Way in Ogonquit, but be prepared for pay a fair bit for parking if you don't get there early), great lobster restaurants, all the usual wonderful Maine offerings. Megan was a wonderful, friendly, and responsive host, and we felt well cared for from afar! Highly recommended.

Our family lives just north of Boston. Spending time together renovating this house and exploring coastal Maine occupied much of our time when we first purchased this house. Since then, we enjoy visiting as often as we can and making memories to last a lifetime!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the location of this property and couldn't get gorgeous views off our minds. While only a little over an hour from our home, it feels much farther away and we can't help but relax once we arrive!

What makes this property unique

We love the walkability of this home. You can be at the beach, in the shops or at any number of restaurants in a 2-3 minute walk. The view from the yard is breathtaking, we've enjoyed the house for years now and we never tire of watching the waves crash.
