From the minute we entered the cottage it felt like home. It has absolutely everything you need, the home was spotless and the location was perfect within walking distance to the beach and center of town. Adorable!

So enjoyed my stay at this sweet treehouse! Loved the decor, all the little treasures in the kitchen, the super comfy bed, French doors, and all the touches that made my stay delightful! I really enjoyed the sunny deck, that turned into a starlit and twinkle light oasis at night! Right downtown close to the beach, restaurants, tiki bars and boulevard with all the trendy shops and artisan fair! Just can’t beat it 💕

Cool Treehouse

Loved our time at the Treehouse. It had everything we needed. It was nice having a washer and dryer available. As well the beach chairs were used daily. Great location where you could walk to everything- beach, restaurants, bars, coffee shop, library, Tuesday Market. We even took in the Springfest and Faerie event. The hosts, Bette and Jerry are lovely people and happened to be onsite during our stay. They were more than accommodating and we really enjoyed meeting them. Will certainly return.

Perfect for a single or couple, tree house apartment.

Very clean and comfortable small 1BR apartment, roomy enough for an extended stay. Tastefully furnished, fully equipped kitchen. Fantastic location, within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, pubs and Gulfport's main street of shops and street fairs.

Cute little cottage near the beach!

If you're looking for 5 star with expensive price tag- this is not it. If you want a cozy little cottage at a great price, 5 minute walk to the beach- this IS it! Only big enough for 2, but has all you need, including open laundry access at the bottom of the stairs. Very clean. The location is fantastic. You can walk everywhere, or drive 10 minutes to the big beach of St.Petes. There a just a couple fine details needing attention. We only had 2 towels for 2 adults all week, and the bed sheets a little thin for our liking. The toilet could be replaced as it ran on a couple times - and had to flip the flapper. The internet is very slow, or sometimes takes forever to connect. Other than that, it's great value- and a fun place to be!

Our very first visit to Florida - Roger & Helen from Welland, Ontario Canada

We very much enjoyed our stay at "The Tree House"....it suited our needs perfectly. The location was great as it was within walking distance to the Boca Ciega Bay and to so many wonderful restaurants. We were glad though to have rented a vehicle so that we could enjoy the races at Tampa Bay Downs and also the Pass-a-Grille Beach where we got to watch the dolphins play. Walgreens was our go-to store since it also had our TD banking machine. The owners, Jerry and Bette were so lovely and helpful....it was a pleasure to befriend them. Gulfport was a great place to introduce us to vacationing in Florida.....friendly people and an opportunity to relax or be as active as you want. We felt blessed to enjoy the pleasures of this quaint town!

Excellent stay in Gulfport

My wife and I stayed at the Tree House for the month of November 2017. It was everything that we hoped it could be and more. Gulfport is a great place to visit with parks, beaches, restaurants close by and all within walking distance. We found the Tree house very clean, comfortable and we immediately felt right at home. The host’s (Jerry and Bette) attention to detail made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay from laundry facilities to beach chairs. We would recommend both Gulfport and The Tree House to other visitors.

Great location, great place

This 1 BR upstairs unit is well furnished, with many special touches. Shampoo & soap in the shower, water & beer in the fridge, and coffee in the cabinet! I could walk to all the "downtown" Gulfport sites in minutes. There is a welcome book with local restaurant menus and local attraction information. The owner and manager were very responsive to any questions. This is a great place!

Little slice of heaven!

The Treehouse was perfect & convenient for all our needs. It is a quick walk from the Gulfport Bay & the local restaurants & bars. The Treehouse was perfect destination for my husband & Me. We had plenty of space to cook in the kitchen, chill out in the living area, & hang out on the patio. The bedroom was spacious & bathroom fitted all of our needs. We will be back & maybe try to rent the cottage (Seven Egrets, below the Treehouse) for us & our kids! Wonderful stay!!

Small apartment totally fits the bill for two!

This upstairs carriage apartment is exactly as pictured on-line. It's clean and the perfect size for two people. The kitchen is tiny, but well-equipped with everything necessary to prepare meals and has plenty of storage space for groceries. The black "sofa" was interesting in the picture, but I wasn't sure how comfortable it would be. It was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable too. Just a short walk to the beachfront, shops, and restaurants; it's convenient to everything in Gulfport. If you're visiting on a Wednesday, don't miss the open mic night at Little Tommie's Tiki! We enjoyed our stay in The Tree House and you will too!

Our little home away from home

We loved our little tree house. We we close to everything,we did tours in Tampa and st Petersburg. We enjoyed the gulf front. Lots of outdoor restaurants and bars. We were close to everything.. Very quiet and friendly neighbourhood. The owner was very accomadating, and nice. The place was very well kept.

Perfect for our needs

We wanted to stay in Gulfport, and the "TreeHouse" was just perfect for my wife and I. It was located just a couple blocks from the beach, and a couple to the library (which is excellent by the way). We had our little patio for morning coffee, a perfectly adequate kitchen, living area, bedroom and bath. The owner could not have been kinder, we loved it. Mark W.

In 2005, after vacationing in Gulfport for many years, my parents, Bette and Jerry Lischke bought and restored this property; christening the cottage: Seven Egrets, and this cozy apartment: the Tree House.
In recent years, as travel became difficult for my parents, my husband Stan and I bought the property. It brings us such joy to be able to continue our family's traditions here; and to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

The location is perfectly situated in the Arts district, which is the heart of Gulfport. The Tree House is close enough for a short stroll to the beach or out for shopping and dinner; but far enough to be nicely insulated from the music and late-night revelry of downtown.

What makes this property unique

The Tree house is the perfect quiet respite for one, or a cozy love nest for two! Having rented and owned other properties in Gulfport, we can confidently say that this little peanut is the cutest game in town!
