About this property

Family friendly, fly fishing piece of paradise

With access to Mill Creek, a world class trout stream, just a few steps from the front deck, Mill Creek Retreat is ideal for folks looking for a quiet place to fish, relax, hike, cross country or downhill ski and visit local attractions, such as Yellowstone Park, just 45 minutes up HWY 89. The boundary of Absaroka/ Beartooth Wilderness area is just up the road and Chico Hot Springs Resort with its famous hot pool and incredible dining is only 15 minutes away. The Pine Creek Lodge concert venue is 15 minutes down East River Road and Follow Yer Nose barbecue/Wildflower Bakery, voted best bbq in Montana, is also just a few minutes drive. The house, built in the 1950’s from local stone and timber, sleeps 8-10 people with additional sleeping areas possible on the futon and couches. There are three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fireplace, washer and dryer and a full kitchen (no dishwasher). Wi-fi service and a television make it possible to stream your favorite shows or catch up on your emails. The living room opens onto a deck with shaded seating that allows guests to relax and watch Mill Creek tumbling by. Children and pets are welcome, but please be aware that Mill Creek is a fast moving stream emptying into the Yellowstone River, and also that we are in an area of abundant wildlife, so it is very important to keep pets under control and a close eye on your children at all times. The property is a wonderful venue for weddings, family reunions and other gatherings, however, no parties or events may take place without permission from the hosts. There may be an extra charge for such gatherings. One of your hosts is a professional chef and may be available with advance notice to prepare meals for an additional fee. Additional guests will be charged at a rate of $25 per night. The fee for pets is also $25 per night. This is our first season hosting guests at Mill Creek Retreat and we are looking forward to meeting you. We are offering a per night discount for the months of July and August to celebrate our opening. Minimum stay is 3 nights

Fishing and Hiking around Mill Creek
A perfect location for exploring, hiking, and fishing in the nearby wilderness right out the door. The property is lovely, and only minutes from groceries, restaurants, hot springs, and entertainment in Emigrant. The house is quiet, spacious, and very well appointed helpful

Perfect spot!!!
Great location for everything Paradise Valley has to offer. The hosts were friendly and the house was just beautiful. But for me, having Mill creek at my finger tips made it all worth it, the fishing behind the property was incredible. Hopefully we’ll be back as soon as possible!!!

Host profile image
The hosts of Mill Creek Retreat are 3 brothers, Ned, Mike and Dan, from a family that has lived in Paradise Valley for over 40 years. Our mother ran a B&B on the property for many years and we are carrying on the tradition. Ned works at the Follow Yer Nose BBQ in Emigrant which is just 8 miles away and is famous for his dancing. Mike works for the film industry and created the sets for A River Runs Through It which was filmed near this property. And Dan is a chef, landscape designer and generally creative genius.
