Terrible Experience – Misleading Listing and Poor Management
The listing was blatantly misleading. It was advertised as a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment, but upon arrival, we found it was only 1 bedroom. When I pointed this out to the person checking us in, she took a photo of the listing I showed her on VRBO app. A few hours later, they secretly updated the listing to reflect a 1-bedroom, without an apology, explanation, or offer of compensation for the downgrade. It was handled in a very unprofessional and sneaky way, leaving us feeling deceived. I asked about using the sofa bed in the living room and requested additional blankets. The caretaker claimed they were in the closet, but there were none. I messaged her, and while she said she’d check with housekeeping, nothing was done and no follow-ups. Things went further downhill when the toilet flush broke on the second day. While the caretaker sent a maintenance person, he didn’t speak English and could only communicate using a translation app. He told me the pump needed replacing and that he would fix it right away—but he never came back. Again, there was no follow-up from the caretaker. My family, including a four-year-old, had to rely on the shared bathroom in the building’s amenities area on the 15th floor for almost our entire stay.Mistakes can happen but the lack of professionalism, follow-up, and basic care for guests made this one of the worst experiences of my life. I wouldn’t recommend this property or any others by the same owner.
