Relaxing Holiday Weekend

We had a wonderful and relaxing Memorial Day weekend in Windham. The house was secluded, but still close to the downtown area of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck with the direct view of the mountains and also our evenings out by the fire pit. The house was clean and comfortable and offered plenty of amenities. The online photos did not do it justice! We would definitely stay here again, maybe this time in the winter.

Winter Ski Break

Although we did not ski in Windham, we loved staying here. This is our fifth year in this lovely town and we are never disappointed. Our stay in this beautiful house was such a treat. So very comfortable/cozy and loved having pool table, tv, and foosball in the basement. Thank you Laura.

Family new years wknd!

We had a really wonderful time, it was a beautiful house and so perfect for a weekend get away with 3 families. We had several kids under 8, and 3 couples and it was a perfect size and layout to be totally more than comfortable. We didn’t have great weather, but the property when we were able to be outside was beautiful and it was very convenient to town. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend!

glorious property

The house itself it spacious and beautiful, very tastefully decorated. Because of the way it's set up and supplied, there's a lovely sense of welcome and hospitality. The landscape is glorious and there is a feeling of privacy -- no neighbors right nearby. We were there with small children and were pleasantly surprised to find buckets of toys and a very nice swing and slide set on the property. The kitchen was well-stocked. It really couldn't have been better. Laura, the owner, was very helpful and responsive.

Great Find!

We were looking to have a nice ski weekend before winter ran out. We saw this lovely home online and it was even better in person. Clean, new, such a cool log home. It's a beautiful property very close to Windham Mt. Whenever we had a question, the property owner/manager responded very promptly. Great family home, we highly recommend it.

Thanksgiving get away

My family and I spent Thanksgiving and had a wonderful stay. The basement was great entertainment for the teens and everyone enjoy the fire pit. Owner was excellent in communication and directions.

Rustic modern log home

We did enjoy our stay. More than enough room for our family of 6 adults, young child and baby. Property was very rustic, with wildlife surrounding us and a beautiful view of Hunter Mountain. Owner might want to consider addressing the ant problem as we had some additional guests dropping in unannounced.

Perfect house and location

Great vacation house

We had a wonderful trip with our friends in this beautiful house. The owner is very nice and very responsive. The location is perfect and close to the ski site. The house is neat and has great Mountain View.

Fabulous week in beautiful Greene County

This is a beautiful property surrounded by nature. We were a group of eight (5 adults and 3 kids ages 7, 9, and 11). We found the cabin to be very clean and full of enjoyable amenities: from waking up each morning to breakfast on the deck with a view of the mountain, to s'mores at night by the fire pit, to playing on the jungle gym, to pool, ping pong and foosball inside when it rained. We highly recommend the property and would stay here again.

A Memorable Property with A Plus Amenities

First, our family recommends the home, amenities and properties as a 5 STAR experience! Location is fairly private with forested areas all around to our liking. The home is very expansive with 3 levels perfect for at least 3 families to have separate privacy. The garage allowed us to have a staging area to move in and move out as well as prepare for our daily activities. Inside the house, we experience a well designed space with accommodating, sizable bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen is very practical and perfect for cooking. The family room is spacious with good seating and wide side windows to enjoy the outside world. In the basement, we were very pleased with the available entertaining activities that included a foosball table, ping pong table, and pool table. Also the basement floor has a sofa sitting area with a TV for viewing. There is a big cache of children's toys, which were also a big hit for our kids! Outside, is a children's playset, a rope swing and big open area, and our children enjoyed these immensely. The driveway is very expansive allowing for parking for many vehicles. The front porch was great in the early morning hours to sit on the swing or rocking chairs and the side deck was perfect in the early evening to use the rustic table and chairs for eating or playing games. The firepit was also a big hit for our family as we sat out to very late hours just enjoying the nighttime experience and burning a fire. A very BIG plus with the property is the power generator. We experienced a Utility Company power outage that affected 12,000 patrons, including us around 6:30AM one day and the generator acted like a true warrior kicking in to preserve our power in the house while the Utility Company fixed the problem over the next 4 hours. An A PLUS! We can't say enough how grateful were were not to lose power when others suffered! The last reviewer commented that they had water problems. This was NOT the case for us. The owners acted responsibly to resolve the mechanical problem before our time at the house and informed us of the resolution prior to our visit. We had plenty of water. Our only recommendation is that the owners consider adding a small chest freezer to either their pantry or garage to allow for guests to store their frozen foods. Overall we had a fabulous time and would come back!

Poor responsiveness to major issue

The house is very pretty and conveniently located to Windham mountain (5 mins) and Hunter (18 mins). We we impressed as we drove up and loved the fire pit with views of windham mountain. Unfortunately on our first day there the house ran out of water. We contacted Laura around 8am to notify her of the issue. Luckily we had enough water bottles on hand to brush teeth and make coffee but we unable to use the toilets and shower before heading to skiing. We returned from the mountain around 4pm and no one had been to the house yet to address the issue and there was no follow up to provide a status update. We called again and a plumber was a sent over to investigate the problem. He arrived by 5pm and explained this is a recurring issue with this house. There is a 180 gallon water tank in the basement where water is pumped from a well and filtered. The plumber showed us a manual workaround for the problem by bypassing the filtration system so we could refill the tank. He advised not to drink the water. At least we could now shower and use the toilets. We had to manually refill this each day of our visit which caused some inconvenience but at least made our stay manageable. Laura apologized and offered us a $250 credit for the inconvenience but as of now, 3 weeks later, she has not responded to 3 separate massages from us so I’m assuming that’s never coming. Some other things to note- the home homeowners have not separated their personal items from public spaces. Drawers were full with their personal items and the refrigerator and freezer were over 50% full leaving little space to store the food we brought. As for trash removal, the waste management facility is a few minutes drive away to drop off your waste but your recycling waste streams must be broken down into 6 different sources in order for them to take the items (light cardboard, heavy cardboard, light plastic, heavy plastic, aluminum cans and general trash). While recycling waste was free to drop off it was $2 a bag for kitchen size waste bags to be disposed. This could be more clearly specified in the house instructions as it took additional time to separate everything out at the waste site for proper disposal. Overall, the house is pretty and has a great location but based on the lack of responsiveness from homeowner and the indication the water challenges are a frequently recurring problem I would not recommend anyone stay at this property until suitable repairs are made.

Perfect Family House

Our family of 7 had a wonderful weekend stay in this beautiful home. There was plenty of space and lots of beds. It was pristine and bright and comfortable for all. Windham Mountain and restaurants are a very short drive away. We look forward to returning!

Wonderful weekend getaway!

This cabin in the Catskills was exactly what we were looking for. The gorgeous home was picture perfect upon our arrival, for which we were provided detailed instructions on directions and the easy, contactless check-in. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful, even providing us local recommendations. We then enjoyed a weekend in nature with a beautiful indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit. Close to hikes, restaurants, grocery & gas. Plenty to do outdoors or in the Rec room style basement with fooseball, ping pong, and a pool table. I recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect getaway with wonderful hosts!

A Perfect Getaway

Photos don't do this home justice! It is a modern log cabin home and all the living spaces feel very open with lots of natural light. We enjoyed most of our time on the main level - the kitchen, dining area and living area are open and adjacent with plenty of space to relax. The other family room (with pool table etc) is in the walkout basement. It has plenty of windows and views of nature as well. Also, lots of outdoor space where you can relax, have meals or enjoy making smores on the fire pit. The house is nicely decorated (no cheap rental furniture) and very clean. It is located on a private street with only a few homes so it is incredibly quiet. Our hosts were quick to respond to any of our needs. We loved our time here and would be thrilled to return!

Great time in Windham

We had such a great time staying here. We traveled with our kids (ages 5 and 2) and another family and their kids (twins age 5). The house was perfect for us. They even had a full crib set up which was perfect for our 2 year old. The view from the deck was gorgeous. We ate out there every night. We loved the fire pit. The kids loved making s'mores every night and it was great to sit outside and see the stars. The game room with a pool table, ping pong, fooseball was so much fun. The property had a great kids playset as well, which was a nice surprise. Because of covid we didn't go out to dinner but we did bring in food one night which was really good. There are some great local hikes as well. We loved this property and hope to return in the fall!

Memorial Day Stay

The house is beautiful and the views are simply incredible. The pictures do not do the house justice. It was perfect for our family and there were even a few pleasant surprises from the outdoor play-set to the incredibly well-stocked pantry to a hidden rope swing. It was far enough from Windham proper to offer solitude, yet close enough to be very convenient.

An absolutely perfect ski house in a perfect location.

This house is a perfect rental for a ski weekend (or longer) at Windham. A true log cabin feel with all upgraded amenities and updated tasteful decor. It was just my family of 5 but the house could easily accommodate another family with the layout of bedrooms, beds for 12 and 4 bathrooms. The kids loved the basement with ping pong and foosball. Everything about the house was easy and enjoyable. With an easy 5 minute drive to the mountain. Already mapping out when we can rent again! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
