About this property

Artist's Serene Mapleton Sanctuary

Welcome to your dream Boulder retreat! This enchanting 3771 square foot home, originally built in 1885 and meticulously restored, combines historical charm with modern luxury.

Step inside and be amazed by the Venetian plaster hand-created walls and exquisite custom woodwork throughout. The high ceilings create an airy feel, and the open layout is bathed in natural light. The fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s paradise, featuring high-end appliances, spalted fiddleback maple wood cabinets, and a stunning spiral staircase that adds a whimsical touch.

Unwind in the spacious living areas or head downstairs to the media room, where a huge screen TV awaits against hand-painted gilded walls. Enjoy meals in the dining room, showcasing exposed structural bricks and slats, along with custom-created light fixtures that add a unique flair.

The outdoor spaces are equally impressive. Fire up the grill and dine al fresco with outdoor furniture set amid a beautifully landscaped yard. Forage fresh produce from the organic raised bed garden or relax in the meditation sanctuary tucked away in the backyard. The front and back yards are lush with fruit trees, creating a serene oasis.

Retreat to one of the three airy bedrooms, each offering a peaceful night's sleep. With 4 bathrooms, you’ll have plenty of space for everyone, and each one is equipped with all the essentials. Two additional bedrooms are currently set up as an office spaced and a reading room both overlooking the front garden facing the most charming Mapleton Street.
This house is more than just a place to stay – it's an experience. Come make unforgettable memories in this Boulder gem!

Greeting from Boulder! Boulder native. I am a renaissance woman through and through. Entrepreneur, artist, athlete, spiritual seeker and hopelessly curious. Never bored.

My Motto: What you surround yourself with is what you become- Choose Carefully!
My home is my sanctuary. The calm and cleanliness of the home is paramount. No street shoes permitted inside. Indoor slippers provided upon request. Thank you.

Why they chose this property

Whittier Neighborhood is a walker's paradise. The very best neighborhood in all of Boulder if you want to engage with others. Dog walkers abound. Where almost everyone is friendly and family focused. Lots of kids. The top elementary school is one block away.

Large trees, beautiful gardens and well maintained homes make for a pleasant stroll to Mt. Sanitas or the Pearl Street pedestrian mall for a bit to eat or shop.

What makes this property unique

As I mentioned, I am an artist. This property spoke to me. I listened with intention.

It may be worth mentioning - the founding members of Naropa including Pema Chodrin lived in this house. I believe the entire property is a sacred space, and a healing sanctuary.

Many pieces of art reside here. Most of which were either picked up while traveling, made or found. All of them have a story and are personal. I share them with you trusting you will v
So, as I mentioned, I'm an artist, and this house spoke to me, and I listened. Fun fact: the founding members of Naropa, including Pema Chodron, once called this place home. I truly believe this entire property is a sacred space and a healing sanctuary. You will feel it immediately.

Art is everywhere here. From pieces I picked up while traveling to those I created or found, each one has a unique story. I'm sharing them with you, trusting you'll appreciate their craftsmanship and uniqueness.

The hand-toweled Venetian plastered walls were a labor of love which came from my heart.
The gardens have evolved beautifully over the years. The raised bed organic garden is for your pleasure and health.
Additionally, In the backyard, where Buddhists originally gathered to pray, you'll find a meditation sanctuary. It's a special spot, perfect for finding your own peace and inspiration.

Rest, exhale and be restored.

Enjoy.
